I'm not vegan, but I do like this place very much. Food is presented with fresh, bright flavors and the meat substitutes feel substantial. Have eaten here three times and food quality and friendly service has been consistent.

After going on the Sandia Peak tramway we found Thai Vegan. While not vegans, their food was amongst the best Thai food we'd ever had. The portions were huge and the prices very reasonable. I tried a Thai shrimp dish which was wonderful. Everything was...well seasoned and with an appealing presentation. Would highly recommend even for carnivores.More
The food here is fantastic! We ordered stir fried vegetables with shrimp. It came with the most amazing noodles. We also got spring rolls and a noodle soup with vegan “shrimp”. All the food was delicious!
Thai Heritage &Vegan can satisfy anyone from vegan to vegetarian to carnivore. Spring rolls with peanut sauce are so fresh it seems the ingredients were just harvested.
The lunch combos come with a wonderful salad and two spring rolls. Loved it!!!! Happy to have some leftovers to snack on as well.
There are several listings for "Thai Vegan" in Albuquerque. This review is specifically for the restaurant on Central Avenue in Nob Hill. On the positive side, the restaurant is tastefully decorated, the waiter was friendly, and the food appeared quickly. However, in the past several...months, the food here has gone seriously downhill. Today I ordered the lunch combo of stir-fried vegetables. The sauce was oily and the veggies were bland, over-cooked, and laced with a new ingredient, carmelized onions. The dipping sauce for the freshy roll was watery, mostly vinegar and soy sauce, not the thick, tasty hoisin-like sauce of the past. I plan to go elsewhere for Thai food in the future.More
I have eaten here before with no problems... Fast forward 6 months and I planned a trip here with my friend who recently went vegan and I am gluten and dairy free so works out for me mostly too. I ordered what I had ordered...before which was the yellow curry and I added prawns. Real prawns not fake. I also asked the waitress to substitute the usual spring roll with a freshy roll (rice paper roll since I can't have wheat.) She said it would be a dollar upgrade. I agreed. When the food came it was very tasty but I noticed something was different about the shrimp. It was translucent and every piece was cut in half and it had a funny texture. I was convinced that it was the soy shrimp and not the real prawns. Also there was a dip that came with my freshy roll and I asked what it was because if it had so I sauce I couldn't eat it because soy sauce has wheat. She went as the kitchen but never came back with any information. It was Hoison sauce... I looked it up myself and it definitely included soy sauce so I'm glad I didn't take a bite. And I also had to stop her 2 different times to talk about the shrimp in the 1st time she insisted that it was real shrimp so I ignored it and then I had my friend tasted and she agreed he definitely was the fake shrimp. So then the waitress said that they didn't even have so a shrimp on the menu they had so a fish but not soy shrimp and I told her I saw it on the menu myself so she took my plate and said she was gonna go talk to the chef. Sure enough, upon her return, she said I was right that they were the soy shrimp and offered to take them off my bill which of course would be the natural thing, but I'm surprised that they didn't offer to then give me the real prawns witch I had asked for originally, but instead offered to give me some free Thai coffee or tea or something of the like. I just said no and waved it off. I wanted my shrimp is what I wanted, but after all of that I was just ready to get out of there. ( For the record, the waitress was very friendly and sweet but she was overworked because she was the only one on staff in the whole restaurant and it was lunch hour. It also seemed like there was only 1 chef on duty too. Therefore, the service was very slow and the attentiveness to our table and filling of our water and what not was miniscule at best.) When I was searching for the address of the restaurant I came across some reviews that were very negative and I brushed them off because I thought: well that was their experience and I had a good experience so I'm still gonna go. Now I see what the big complaints were about. The place has definitely gone downhill and I do not see myself returning at all. Ever.More
What a wonderful meal! We had green curry with veggies and it was awesome! Service was friendly and attentive. Great place for vegans!
We are vegans and were so impressed they have so many great menu choices for us. The food was excellent! Our waitperson was attentive and efficient, which is always a good combination.
Great food , horrible service. Won’t be coming back! The staff seemed to be in slow motion. Appetizer came out after the main dish. Main dish was prepared incorrectly! Disappointing , as we had heard good things about the place.
We went on a weeknight, so it was not busy at all and service was very prompt. The space is nice and overall has a calming feel. The Pad Thai really blew us away, and the golden tofu appetizer was also great. Prices were very...reasonable, ten dollars for a generous portion. Can’t wait to go back - might try to hit their lunch special soon!More
The service was very slow, the soup had little flavor and the edamame looked a bit old. I have eaten at their Osuna location and have been very happy but this location was lacking.
I loved this place! The food was delicious. I got the orange chicken and rice, and also tried my family's food. Everything was very good and very filling. The wait wasn't too bad.
I am not Vegan, but I wanted to try this place out because I heard good things about their food. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and service was friendly and helpful. However, I definitely ordered the wrong thing. I wanted the spicy eggplant dish,...but when I tasted it I lost my appetite because the main ingredient in it seemed to be sugar. The sauce for the spring rolls and even the salad dressing had sugar. I am sure they have some dishes that are not dipped in sugar, but my experience was not that good. Well, I am glad I tried it, but never again!More
Visited Thai Vegan on a recent trip to Albuquerque. My daughter and wife are vegan and I eat it on occasion when we are out. As a person that is not 100% vegan I can say that the Chicken burger from soy is amazing!! I...would definitely recommend that meal.More
So glad you enjoyed your meal with us. We look forward to your return.
