I love this place, my favorite is the red Chile, authentic New Mexico food. Great friendly service, and extremely clean. Been going here for years, and never disappointed.

Across the street from the Sandia Peak Inn, it was very convenient. Their salsa is homemade, and definitely too spicy hot for me, but my spouse and father loved it. The sopapillas are wonderful. Love the motif, especially the chili pepper cross!

We stayed at the hotel across the street, and the proprietor referred us. The hotel had a good free breakfast, but we got up too late. This is a busy restaurant, full of people who had been there before. I had some fantastc huevos rancheros with green chile, wonderful.

We enjoyed El Charritos while staying at the Sandia Peak Inn located directly across Historic Route 66. We ate at this conveniently located restaurant for two reasons. First, our daughter's family considers this their favorite Mexican food restaurant in all of Albuquerque. Secondly, it was right across the street from our motel. We found the food to be fresh, tasty,... More

We decided to try this place because of the reviews and because it was across the street from where we were staying. The atmosphere and decor, were OK, but my wife liked the art on the walls. While some people complain that the chips and salsa aren't free, you're better off not snacking on these because the food portions are... More

The food at El Charritos is delicious! The atmosphere inside the restaurant is perfect for a family or gathering of friends. Our waitress was easily one of the best waitresses I have ever had - she was super helpful.

We have never had a bad meal here. Excellent food and servers are very nice. Loved the chile rellenos today! Best sopapillas! Husband had combination plate. Very meaty taco. Overall this place is always excellent.

A typical cafe with decent food. Atmosphere is very plain. Service was ok, but was not very attentive or friendly. The biggest issue was the bullet holes in the window, but we felt save.

Those who claim this is the best Mexican food in Albuquerque are way off. Number one is Saides, hands down! You just have to wait too long for a table,if you are in a hurry. To start with El Charritos does not have complementary chips and salsa. We had to pay $2.75 for a medium size basket and was not... More
