From the carne adovada, to the chile rellenos and the enchiladas--it's all delicious! I'm originally from NM but had never been to Mary & Tito's Cafe untl now. Their red child sauce truly is gorgeous...divine! People have commented that the café has odd hours and that they don't serve alcohol. Who cares! Go for the amazing food!!

My favorite New Mexico restaurant in ABQ. Best red chile, best carne adovada and that is saying something in ABQ. Funky hours and no beer or wine. This is one of the locals' favorite spots. Really inexpensive, funky part of 4th street, crazy old place. And, the earned a coveted James Beard award and featured in the newest Beard cookbook.... More

O. M. G. If you are ever in Albuquerque, you MUST try this place! I'm from San Antonio, so I know Mexican food, but this was SOOO good. It's a hole in the wall and not much to marvel at from the outside, but if that's what you're looking for, go to a big chain place. I had the adovada... More

Exactly the type of place the states marketing plan would hope you find your way to if your visiting from elsewhere. Been here forever in a forgetable building in a marginal area of 4th. St. Mary & Tito are long gone but their Kitchy presence lives on . Extensive Mexican fare , all homemade good , personally a favorite of... More

Eat THE CAKE!!! The food is Awesome, old school family diner style restaurant with amazing service delicious food and Grandma Mary's homemade "Wedding Cake" to which there is no comparison!!!!! Have the amazing red chili sauce on everything (not on the cake😝)... I'm going back every time I'm here and I might just talk Mary into moving in with me!!!

Everyone from James Beard to the Food Network has praised this small family run place for its New Mexican chili and unique twists on traditional New Mexican dishes and we agree! We had the Carne Adovado turnover (stuffed sopapilla) and the Mexican Pizza on the advice of an enthusiastic local who was seated next to us, and who was glad... More

We heard about this place from a TV show (Andrew Zimmern). The adovado sopapillo was delicious but so huge, I couldn't finish it. Ask for the sauce on the side to avoid soaking he crust. The place is remarkably inexpensive for the quality and quantity of food served. The restaurant is pretty much a family run operation and everyone is... More

Authentic Mexican and their signature Cafe Adovado..pork strips marinated and slow cooked...cooked in a sopappilla crust..oh..my..goodness! So different from the Tex-Mex we are used to but it was delish! If you are in a hurry this is not your place but if you want to... More
