I ate at Cervantes during a trip to Albuquerque in August. I had not been there in several years, but the food was just as good as I remembered. I used to live in NM and so getting real NM food again was a real treat. I had the ground beef burrito special smothered in green chilie with rice and... More

I heard about this New Mexico Mexican restaurant so decided to try it today. The salsa was okay but nothing to rave about. I had the combination plate with carne adovada. The waitress said the red chili sauce sauce and green chile sauce medium. The flavor was quite mediocre not tasty. The chili reallno was burnt and the cheese was... More

Albuquerque is super-saturated with Mexican food restaurants, most of which claim to have "the best" such, but Cervantes' carne adovada definitely stands above the crowd. Cervantes proudly proclaims that it has been open since 1975. Unfortunately, I don't believe it's been remodeled since then. So while the food is very good, the facility is shopworn.

Our hotel concierge recommended Cervantes when we asked her for her favorite Mexican restaurant in Albuquerque. We loved the food and the atmosphere was lovely!

So upon arriving at the ABQ airport and while renting a car, I asked the rep where he eats and he informed me that I will want to eat at Cervantes. He was SO RIGHT!! I grew up here, but haven't been back in awhile, so I had my fill of authentic New Mexican food and was so pleased. Just... More

I always enjoy going to this restaurant for authentic New Mexican food. I love the chili relents and my husband likes the ground beef enchiladas. Of course we always start off with margaritas, chips and salsa.

We live in Albuquerque, but surprisingly had never been to Cervantes before. I'm so glad we tried it and we will definitely be back. I had the chile rellenos plate, with Christmas chile. The rellenos were large and crisp, not soggy. Hubby had the stuffed sopa with carne adovada. It was hot, spicy and delicious. The chips and salsa were... More

We were staying in ABQ for a concert. We stayed at the Hyatt and they suggested this place for dinner. We were a little skeptical as it was in a not so great looking part of town. I'm glad we still went. Our waitress was very sweet and efficient. All of the staff that we encountered were nice and had... More

Ate out with family at this restaurant and it was such a nice surprise. The decor was just fun and comfortable, the wait staff was just excellent, helpful in the extreme. The food turned out to be just what you'd hope for in a New Mexican eatery. I would love to return for another meal there the next time we... More

Had a good meal here- they were able to accommodate a large (15) group of fairly rowdy business people at the last minute. My dish was homemade and the service was very good. The food was spicy but they warned us in advance and everything I tasted was excellent. I'd go back!
