This has been one of our favorite restaurants for over 10 years. When we moved to New Mexico, we tried out this restaurant, were very impressed and have been returning every chance we get. It is a 100 mile drive for us, so we only have the opportunity to go when we are in Albuquerque after 4 pm. The food... More

Ate here to celebrate our first anniversary and were very pleased. Easy to make a reservation through OpenTable. Spouse and I both got filet mignon and enjoyed it very much. Great wine selection.

I have eaten at this restaurant numerous times over the past eight years. The food has been consistently outstanding, the service not so much. Trombino is fairly quiet, has a nice atmosphere and a big menu that makes it so hard to pick just one thing. Our last visit was on a weeknight and the restaurant was not at all... More

After a very busy and fatiguing week, we decided to relax and enjoy a favorite long-standing classic Italian neighborhood eatery, TROMBINO’S BISTRO ITALIANO. It’s an always-busy restaurant and bar conveniently located on Academy Road near San Mateo Blvd., specializing in delicious home-made pasta dishes plus a full range of antipasti, soups, salads, steaks and sausages, veal, chicken and seafood dishes,... We often get takeout from Trombino's when passing through Albuquerque (we live about 90 miles away). Recently I stopped on a Sunday at 6pm, placed my order, and waited ... and waited ... and waited. The server behind the bar seemed oblivious and never offered an understanding word of "I realize this is taking a long time - would you... More

I consider this a lucky find, we were on the last leg of our cross country trip and needed a place to eat dinner in Albuquerque. The interior is like an old fashioned Italian restaurant, the service was very good the the food was very tasty and the portions were large. The prices were reasonable with most dishes between $16... My daughter & I visited Trombino's for the first time, and don't have on positive thing to report. Decor consists of mainly marginally painted murals on the walls. A tad dark, with no real charm or atmosphere, to call it an Italian Bistro. I'm not a wine affocianado by any stretch of the imagination, but what we attempted to drink... More

Made a late reservation, waited in the bar for the rest of our party to arrive. Drinks seems overpriced but service was fine. In to dinner -- attentive service, good menu, reasonable prices. Four of us split two desserts and could barely finish them.

Service: Good, server was nice and on top of things. Food: Must be the worst Italian restaurant in Albuquerque. Red potatoes were inedible (too salty). Mashed potatoes were very bland. The pork chops were very hard. The lasagna had too much cheese and no sauce. Price: For 100 dollars, the meal was terrible and we will not return to Trombino's

On a recent trip to our neighborhood favorite Italian restaurant we had a very good meal. It was Friday so that is when they offer their Spinach Lasagna which I always enjoy and it is so large there is plenty to take home for another future meal! My wife is gluten free so she likes their salmon or shrimp with... More

SERVING "MANGIA" & "ABBONDANZA" FOR OVER 36 YEARS! Welcome to Trombino's Bistro Italiano, since 1979 a long standing favorite among Albuquerqueans, business travelers and tourists alike. Our restaurant is an ideal location for dinner, or important client meetings. A comfortable Trattoria that has that inviting feeling of an Old Italian neighborhood! More than just a place to eat, but rather, a gathering place where you, your friends, family and business associates can slow down, enjoy a great meal and reconnect. A trip to Trombino's is as much about feeding memories as it is about feeding stomachs. Trombino's serves signature dishes of authentic Italian-American cuisine. Our menu is large and varied, offering a great selection of homemade pastas, signature salads, prime steaks, fresh fish and memorable desserts, including these delectable choices... Gorgonzola Crusted New York Strip Steak, Veal Piccata, Veal Marsala, Chicken Caprini, Shrimp fra Diavolo, Fruitti di Mare & House-made Tiramisu Cake. The bar offers decadent Martinis, draft beer and an extensive wine list. Trombino's delivers food and hospitality in portions as generous as our commitment to dining.
