This restaurant is by Old Town. It appears to have been around a long time. The staff were friendly. The food was not great. We had a tostada compuesta salad and a combo plate with chili relleno. The relleno was a complete chili but the seeds were not removed. The house margaritas were good and so were the sopapillas.

Loved that the staff was very friendly 😍😍 wish the food was more yummy 😁. The margarita was perfect tho and didn't really like the view.. More happy colors should be added to the restaurant because it was too dark in there.

We live in Tennessee, so we were excited about having New Mexican Food in New Mexico. We chose Little Anita's, and disappointment ensued. Blah. The service was OK, but on the slow and inattentive side. The food was average. The salsa was pretty good, but the tacos were nothing special. It wasn't bad, but if you're on vacation there, look... We were advised to try Little Anita's in Old Town, NM for an authentic food experience and were truly happy we did. We tried the Shrimp Fresca, Pork on the bone, green chili stew, soappapillas, Steak tacos, with grand gold margaritas. All were excellent with great flavor. The service was very good and accommodating and friendly. The atmosphere is laid... More

Little Anita's, along with La Placita, is another place I'd been to many times in the past, but not recently. Unlike La Placita, I found the food excellent, and the service was great, too. I wish I had caught the name of our friendly waitress, a short, middle-aged Hispanic woman. This was my third big meal in a row on... More

Food was so so and the margarita I had was weak and tasteless. Nobody at our table had much good to say about what they ordered. Service was good but overall the restaurant seemed run down and the bathroom stank. Meh!

One of the shop keepers in Old Town recommended Little Anita's, so off we went. We quickly discovered that trusting the advice of strangers was foolish! At first we were encouraged by the large number of clients. But, the service was glacial from the get-go. The marguerita's were positively 3rd class (a lime mix). The food was basically inedible (we'd... More

We are here today and while it was in great proximity to old town, it was just play and overpriced. The salsa tastes like it came out of a jar. Not too impressed, however the staff were all very friendly. We will try something else next time.

We decided to stop here based on reviews. Service was so slow...server never explained why..he seemed preoccupied and kept forgetting parts of our order. Food was okay..not horrible and not great.

Description
For a taste of grandma's cooking and a bit of homemade comfort, come to Little Anita's, which has been serving authentic New Mexican food for over 40 years. Named after the founder's mother, and based on family recipes handed down for generations, Little Anita's is an Albuquerque institution. Our iconic flagship restaurant, in the heart of Old Town, is beloved by locals and a must-visit for any tourist. You haven't been to Albuquerque if you haven't eaten at Little Anita's. Our menu hasn't changed much in the last four decades, and we're proud of it. In a fast-moving world, our restaurants are an oasis of tradition and sentimental cooking. When it comes to our signature dishes, we like to keep things simple. We believe in the purity of our ingredients and keep a clean flavor profile. You won't find your food overloaded with seasoning and your taste buds won't be overwhelmed with spiciness. Our chile tastes like chile. You know a Mexican restaurant by its chips and salsa. Have a seat, take a few bites and find out why so many regulars say, "you had me at chips and salsa." Yes, it's that good.
