Monroe's began as a small drive-in near Old Town in Albuquerque, specializing in reasonably priced - high quality New Mexican food. As Monroe's expanded to be nationally known we have never forgotten our roots as a local neighborhood gathering place.

We enjoyed Monroe’s very much. Food was great, service was excellent and the value was terrific. I couldn’t believe it when I received my bill. Highly recommend, where the locals eat.

The chicken burrito with red sauce was great. Came with chips & salsa, rice, beans and a sopapilla for $10.95. Large, open seating area. Lightning fast service from the kitchen. Good table service.
