I had no idea the amazing dining experience that awaited me last night. We celebrated my Aunts 60th birthday and had a wonderful time. Service, food and drinks amazing. The portions are huge and we had too much. There were 5 of us that arrived...at 4 pm and sat outside. The highlight of my meal were the crab cakes and Mexican ship cocktail. The crab cakes are delicious and mostly crab. It’s a great place to go. This photo is my leftovers he next day.More

We've been to Pelican's many times before and we've never been disappointed with their food. So, being away for months on end due to Covid we decided to check it out and see how they were doing with their outdoor dining. Being a Sunday hubby...called a day earlier to place a table reservation. We were 15 minutes early. The hostess was friendly and told us to wait a short while and she'd get our table ready. Got a nice seating on their patio, not the tent. They spaced the diners well. Clean and masked waiters and bus personnel. We were impressed and felt very comfortable with their outdoor dining facilities. We could say we've never had a bad experience here. The staff was always friendly and professional and the food was outstanding!More

A little more expensive than I thought it would be but worth it, for sure. Portions are extra large and can easily be shared. The sea bass was cooked to perfection, vegetables lightly steamed and the flavors were bright and clean. My table also ordered...a seafood platter which has a Tempura style batter. The flavor was good but it was a little heavy and greasy. Not enough to warn you off, just noted. The sweet potato fries were the best I’ve ever had. Cut and cooked perfect. Not the star of the meal but, an award winning supporting role. If you like seafood, you cannot go wrong. They also serve steaks which, if their seafood is any indication, are probably amazing. If we pass through town again, Pelican’s will be on the menu.More

This is a good local fish place with a good menu and quality products, especially the salads. Cannot get better fish choices in Albuquerque.

CAME on a Friday evening with a reservation which was quickly honored despite a large line of people waiting to be seated. Restaurant is dark and noisy and the parking lot is a zoo with few spaces even close to the restaurant. We were there...for Happy Hour and dinner. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. My friends had the King Prawns which they said were delicious. The prices are high for what is essentially family dining and the entire dining room was incredibly noisy. For those reasons we will probably not return as it was difficult to hear each other speak and we felt exhausted after the entire experience. There are many other equally good restaurants in town that we will try before returning that I feel will serve up better value.More

Sat here and listened to hostess rudely tell guests how long the wait is with no interest in whether they had reservations or not. Extremely indifferent attitude makes me question why I even waited. Unfortunately Albuquerque has few options and we were hungry.

Came in for a nice tender ribeye steak and shrimp dinner but was given sirloin. Believe me, I know my cuts of steak. When I brought this to the wait staff's attention they denied the error and then finally agreed to check with the cook...without actually taking the steak back. Thereafter they pretty much avoided me. Then when I finally was able to get the waiter's attention, I asked them if they talked to the cook and they said they did and it was ribeye. I was so tired from a long day at work that I gave up the fight but still felt cheated. I will never eat at this establishment again.More

Went there for Happy Hour and Dinner. Sat in the lounge to enjoy HH drinks before dinner. Ordered wine - according to the bar menu it said "$1 off ALL DRINKS." We had 4 glasses. Then we ordered a few appetizers and dinner. When the...bill arrived we noticed the glasses of wine did not have the $4 deducted. When we asked waiter about it he said, "Oh that doesn't include wine." My hubby said that the bar menu states "ALL DRINKS." Waiter said nope. So we asked for the manager. Manager came over and said the HH menu did not include wine. Again we said HH menu said $1 off ALL DRINKS. Manager then grabbed the bill and said he would take off the price of one drink ($9). When he returned with the new bill he only removed $3. REALLY???? Our bill was over $125. Manager wanted to chintz out on $3 when we ordered over $125!!!! We won't go there again! Plus, we left cash - the restaurant charged our credit card too. Now we have to dispute the credit card charge!!More

We love Pelican and it has been our favorite restaurant since we move here. So when we have visiting friends from California recently we insist they have to dine here as the food are consistently good. We've never had bad service and the portions are...very large and well presented. On this visit our service was incredible, the young lady server was very attentive and enthusiastic. She was on the job only 2 weeks and she tried very hard to learn and she made our evening pleasant. Even the Owner Robert Diaz and Manager dropped by our table to check on us and we had a good chat. I would highly recommend this place. Much better food than most steakhouses that cost more, and the service is spectacular.More

Maybe I'm jaundiced after 45 years in the restaurant business. Maybe I expect too much. After driving by Pelican's for months, looking at the packed parking lot, I decided to try the place. First impression - back to the 70's - dark, labyrinthine halls and...rooms. Even the menu has stuff I haven't seen on a menu for decades (trout almondine, anyone?). To be fair, the fresh topless oysters were good. Bread comes with garlic-roasted oil, a nice touch. My drink was quite weak, but at $9.00 I shouldn't complain. The wine liost is also okay, with a good selection. Meals were hit-or-miss. Wife's crusted Halibut was delicious and properly done, my Prime Rib was a simple, lean ribeye roll with literally no fat . While it tasted good, it was NOT the Prime Rib I both remember from decades ago nor the Prime Rib I served not 18 months ago at my last restaurant. Why does no one prepare Prime well any more?? To their credit, they do hit some high notes - the fresh grated horseradish was eye squeezing. Au Jus just right. Sides nicely done. But was my, meal worth $107. No. Not even close. M'Tucci's is still my go-to place.More

They have a few of the popular dishes featured on the early bird- fish n chips a meat entree and a great trout dish. They also have a super “happy hour” week days until 7:00 with featured appetizers & discounts on beverages!
