Right up front, I have to say, that not everything on the menu is quite five stars, but it's all soooooo much better than the many mediocre Chinese restaurants that dot America's cities and small towns. Also, the dining room is rather plain. But the food, in addition to being consistently very good to outstanding, tastes fresher than most restaurants.... even the shrimp, which is a pleasant surprise this far inland.
Also, the service is most gracious and welcoming, so the dining experience ends up being a real pleasure. Any time I want Chinese in Albuquerque, I know exactly where I'm going.

Excellent food and service. They dialed down the heat for us. We split a hot and sour soup, green beans, kung pao shrimp and half roast duck. We washed it down with a small bottle of sake. Delicious!

Every dish we've sampled at this restaurant is exceptional. Been in albuquerque for a long time and am so glad to have gotten a tip on this place. The spicy fried chicken is outstanding...and spicy. Any of the fried rice dishes are excellent. Service is very friendly and professional. You won't be disappointed.

One of the better Asian restaurants in ABQ. Food is fresh, not a lot of sweet sauce. We lived on their chicken soup whilst recovering from COVID this spring. The Kung Pao chicken was spicy and very good. The vegetarian options are plentiful and very good. Nice mom-n-pop atmosphere, but don't expect a lot of English to be spoken. Beer is reasonable and good selection. Definitely worth a try.

Having moved to Albuquerque recently and previously lived in California, we haven't been able to find a Chinese restaurant here that would even pass as "acceptable," let alone "good." Even some places that seem to be thriving with lots of take-out business around ABQ really aren't very good. But somebody tipped us off that this one was worth trying and... SURPRISE... YES, it is! We've only been there once, but will definitely be going back. Both dishes we ordered (one pork & one beef) were good. So often beef seems to be overcooked and/or tough in Chinese or Thai places around here, but Neo Szechuan nailed it. And when we asked for really really "Szechuan" spicy (and convinced them that we meant it), they managed to get that right, too. The server, counter, and cook were friendly and all speak Chinese (yes, we met them all!). For some reason I can't really understand, they didn't appear to be doing a whole lot of business while we were there... so I really hope people discover this place - we want them to do well and stick around for a good long time!
