The place looks very simple from the outside but has a superb and cozy ambience inside. Their red and geeen chilli is awesomely fresh with just the right kick. My stuffed sopapilla was filled generously and done just right. The dessert sopapillas done just right. Would certainly recommend this place as a great cozy alternative to some of the other... More

Stopped in for a late dinner with a business colleague. Ordered Carne Asada and my partner ordered a combo plate. My Carne Asada was above average, well-prepared skirt steak with warm flour tortillas. My colleague gave his meal a thumbs up as well.

My colleagues took me to El Bruno's on my recent visit to Albuquerque since it had a good atmosphere and tasty food. The server brought out the chips and salsa at first and I could not resist and almost finished all the chips since the salsa was so tasty. I also ordered the el bruno Margerita which was supposed to... More

Heard the place was good. Went by tonight and was seated in a room off the main dining room. Received salsa & chips, but no water. After 10 min, asked a waiter for some help. Nothing. A few minutes later, we left.

Ate here on day after Xmas. Service was very poor. We waited 10 minutes to be greeted in foyer and then were seated in an annex where we were the only people and received very poor service. We were told there were a lot of big parties on patio and they were short staffed. After waiting 45 mins for our... More

Family hosts took us for brunch to Bruno's during our visit to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta. It is one of their favorite places for authentic Mexican food. We agree with them, food was excellent and prices were reasonable. Service was good but a little slow considering it was not busy.

We were with friends who are locals who were taking us to an entirely different restaurant and we found out the wait there was 2+ hours so we wound mu at El Bruno's and we were glad we did. We got seated almost immediately, the drinks arrived quickly and they were really good. Our orders were taken and we had... More

One of our favorite in town places to bring visitors for New Mexican fare. It was busy this night as the Balloon Fiesta was just about to begin. We did get seated promptly, but had to wait a while for service. That continued through the night. Our entrees were all served hot and were the great tasting items we had... More

Came with my family for dinner, the atmosphere is nice, a little to dark, had to use my light on the phone to read the menu. Staff is nice, but slow and forgettable at times. Will come back for drinks and the awesome queso.

We had four couples in our party on a Monday night during ballon fiesta. We dined early, 5:30 and it was not very busy. House margaritas were very good. Chips were hot and fresh and the salsa was good. There is quite a varied menu and everyone was satisfied. Surprised to see trout on the menu, but I tried it... More
