This is a truly unusual place, where private "rooms" are created by curtains. As you might imagine for a "Tea Rom", the food is a mixture of savory and sweet, all of it delicious. Wine is available as a complement to your meal.

My granddaughters, their mother and I can't enjoy the Tearoom enough. It's a wonderful relaxing place. It rivals London tearoom.

This was a great experience. The meal was delicious! The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. I felt so relax and high on life when I left. I initially felt like 2 hours would be too long, but it was too short. I could have easily spent another half hour to an hour there. I suggest the herbal teas...delicious!

Our friend has been telling us about this place for a long time! It was awesome! An over the top, old fashioned English tea. Not the kind you get in a cafe in London, but the kind you would get in a home parlor. 3 tiered tray with matching teas. Our experience was Tea in Shire. Food was excellent, tea... More

This tearoom is a great experience. The tea is excellent, the food provided with the tea is excellent, the service is excellent (no tipping), and the atmosphere is that of Victorian London. However, an actual tea in London, while very nice, did not compare to one at St. James.

I've been going to the St. James Tearoom probably once a year, starting back when it was located close to Old Town. The newer location is more spacious and has a better shop. I don't know why it's taken me so long to review, but every experience I've had with St. James has been delightful--from birthday celebrations, anniversary tea with... More

I am stunned on how to explain the most beautiful, relaxing, tea experience I have ever been too. The whole experience is served from within a beautiful old adobe building and a velvety victorian old west decor. The tea service was extraordinary and the food, which seemed only bite sized, turned out to be quite filling. The clotted cream came... More

I would have given 5 stars. The place is everything you would want for an relaxing intimate afternoon. The Decor the waitstaff the gift shop and even the restrooms make you feel like your in a different time. A ship bell rings and you are escorted to your own private room. The teas and menus are explained with a whimsical... More

Everything about my aunt's birthday party at the St. James Tearoom was perfect and so detail-oriented. My aunt said it was the best birthday she had in all her 62 years. *We started out our day at the Old Town Hat Shop and Accessory and Boutique to pick out hats. Otherwise, the St. James Tearoom has hats you can borrow.... More

Exceptional!! One of the very best Afternoon Tea experiences I have ever had (and I have had quite a few from tiny tea rooms to upscale hotels). We were traveling to the area, and beginning with the reservation process where my questions & concerns were promptly addressed, to the gracious greeting upon our arrival the experience was perfect. My friend... More
