Despite all the great reviews and all my positive experiences with fine dining in Albuquerque, I was reluctant to try this one because it seemed like it might just be a winery that happens to serve food as an afterthought. After ferring positive in personn...rules from colleagues, I decided to give it a go and my concerns were quickly proven to be completely unfounded. The food is fantastic! Appetizers, entrees, desserts.... everything totally top shelf. Service spectacular. Both the dining room and the covered outdoor patio are delightful. And the wine is not only very good (caveat: I'm not nearly so much a wine connoisseur as I am with food) but also very reasonably priced for an upscale restaurant. The Chenin Blanc went soooooo well with the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer! My southwest meatloaf was truly special and my Wife's pot roast had us reminiscing about our favorite such foods from our time living in New England. A truly joyous dining experience all around. Highest recommendation.More

Itzel, the bartender, was very knowledgeable and excellent and what she did. We ordered the Baked Brie appetizers and it was too sweet for me, but still good.

My husband and I were passing through Albuquerque on a blustery, rainy night. We only eat outdoors because he is immune compromised. None of the restaurants we asked would serve us outside. When I called DH Lescombes, the chef Jaime answered the phone. Unlike anyone...else, he asked why we needed to eat outside. When I told him, he said he would talk to the manager, Javion. Javion called me back and was so gracious. Of course they would serve us on their covered patio! When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Javion and by Kate, the hostess. They gave us the whole patio and turned on the heater for us. Our server Danielle was knowledgeable about the food/wine pairings and so helpful. The food and wine were delicious. Javion and Jaime came to the table to check that all was well. We were treated so well by this staff and will always remember their kindness.More

This bistro, near Old Town, is an old favorite. On this visit, as in many past visits, the atrocious noise level is the major downside. Perhaps the only practical solution is to drink more wine and have a designated driver. The restaurant menu is the...same as other Lescombes locations, but on this visit it seemed as if the kitchen staff was not as proficient at the preparation of menu items as the Las Cruces bistro. We hope that we caught them on an "off" day.More

Valentine's Day dinner. Stuck between the bar and a door they kept opening and closing. It's 30 degrees outside. Waiter didn't take away plates promptly, for appetizer, or salad. Didn't refill water until we asked. They turned all the lights up at 8:30, to which...two tables near us commented on their lack of subtlety. Then they started cleaning tables and floors, loudly, oblivious of diners trying to relax. Romantic, quiet dinner, for $75 per person, not a chance. A manager type person took off ten percent. But they may lost one of their best customers.I've brought groups here, family, friends. My husband and I eat here regularly. But a restaurant has to care more to keep their clientele.More

On a holiday Monday, we were desperate for food that was neither fries and co, or New Mexican. Lescombes was very busy, but we decided to try our luck. We were able to eat at the bar without needing to wait. We ordered the Chardonnay...and the Pinot Gris, which were both very good. I had a goat cheese salad, which was excellent. My dinner partner’s pot roast was good, but not special. We shared a tasty crème brûlée. The bartender was very nice, and listening to other people seated at the bar was fun too!More

We’ve been to this place several times, initially because it was next door to our hotel, but after that, for the food, service and great value. The menu is varied, prices are beyond reasonable and the wine selection is great. Servers are uniformly pleasant, efficient and...knowledgeable about the menu. Great place for lunch or dinner if you’re in the Old Town area or are staying at the Hotel Chaco, which is also great and is about 2 minutes away.More

Several years ago we had a nice Thanksgiving dining experience at this restaurant. This year (2022), we made a reservation in late October for Thanksgiving, hoping that we could enjoy an outdoor patio meal despite the COVID pandemic. About a week before Thanksgiving, we received...a call advising that the restaurant would be closed for Thanksgiving. However, we were advised that we could still order a heat and serve Thanksgiving meal. The cost would be $110 for two people which included a bottle of wine. After thinking it over, we called the next day to inquire if we could order the meal for a reduced price sans the bottle of wine, given that I do not drink much wine. After speaking with his manager, he advised that it was not possible, despite that the bottle of wine added $22 to the cost of the meal. We decided to take our business elsewhere where we had an enjoyable feast without wine for $30 less. Very disappointed that this restaurant offered no alternative or flexibility to keep our business.More

Lescombes has been a favorite restaurant/winery of ours for many years. It has a beautiful interior, excellent food, and an assortment of fine wines. On this visit we had grilled salmon and their Pistachio Pesto Pasta, which I've never seen anywhere else and which is...great. And we bought a bottle of rosé to have in our hotel room. We visit Albuquerque regularly and always have at least one meal here. It's an easy walk from the Hotel Albuquerque and maybe half a mile or so from Old Town. We havent tried their patio yet, but maybe the next time.More

Excellent food and wine at reasonable prices. I visited twice this week: once with a large group, and the send time with one other.
