This is a regular spot for us for breakfast! Specials are a treat - but the regular menu has several choices that are also delicious. Also meet as a group once a month here - very accommodating! Staff will treat you like family each and every visit...

Wow! Want s great authentic breakfast, well this is the place for you! I enjoyed the salmon cakes. My husband had the salty herring, and the kids french-toast. Fast service, clean, and close to the highway!

The Dixie is a small family run restaurant that serves very reasonably priced comfort food. My wife and I had chili dogs which the Dixie is known for. They are located in old towns Petersburg so it is fun to go into the nearby shops after eating.

This restaurant reminds me of a nice page from history...family run, home town atmosphere, country cooking and reasonable prices. The portions were generous and the waitstaff was friendly. Attentive customer service and all around pleasant dining experience. Two of my dear college friends and I met for a long overdue reunion luncheon. Great conversation and great food. We loved Dixie... More

A wide selection of sandwiches, burgers and hot dogs for lunch. Simple food, well prepared, friendly service and modest prices.

You get great value food for a not expensive lunch. I was there with my wife doing a trip around Virginia and it was one of the better places where we lunch. It's small but with a lot of dixie charm, with small tables but you get a tasty American food and a good sweet tea. You will need to... More

Dixie for breakfast is a real treat. The breakfasts that I've had were just like eating at home - simply great! I brought my wife there for her first breakfast at the Dixie and she loved it. Ample servings, endless cup of coffee and great service. The staff is very personable, treat you like family and the bill didn't break... More

We tried the restaurant for breakfast on Sat. We were there pretty much when they opened, a gentleman across the bar asked what we would like to drink and it came out quickly. He said a wait staff would be with us shortly. In the interim, the staff appeared to be arriving for the day, and they looked like they... More

Meet and greet friends for an awesome breakfast or a delicious lunch! Decore will take you back in time - very quaint - but food is exceptional! Special omelettes in the am or a loaded hot dog at noon. All food prepared fresh for you!

It just isn't a trip home until I've eaten at the Dixie. It's just a small corner diner that's been around since the 30's or 40's but it is so much more. We had their famous Dixie dog which consists of a hot dog on a steamed bun with mustard, onions and a magnificent homemade chili sauce. I also included... More
