Had fajitas that was served on a platter as a whole skirt steak with melted Queso cheese. They plated it with beans and rice along with 4 different sauces. I liked the pico de gallo as it had a bite. It would have been better if the had provided some guacamole and sauteed onions and peppers. It was fairly good... More

The dinner fajitas tradicionales (beef with grilled onions, lime sections, and charro beans) were tasty, but some of the beef was grisly. Three sauces came with the fajitas, our favorite being the rather spicy pico de gallo. Tortillas were small. We would have preferred to have more vegetables with the meal. Fresh squeezed lemonade was refreshing. Service was very fast;... More

This is certainly not fine dining as it is very much Mexican-American on an as expected basis. We shared an order of grilled cactus and each had a bowl of soup. Once was enough for us and we made other plans for the evening.

I had something called an, I think, enchilada Guadalajara. It was served in a hot pot, almost like soup, and came out simmering with cactus and beef. Their salsas were great, too, and the wait staff were friendly.

Same good as served in namesake restaurant in Matamoros. Good margaritas. Authentic northern Mexico south Texas food. Has the feel of Mexico. Exceptional nachos white white cheese.

This restaurant is overpriced and the dish I had (molcajete) is served in the same manner as you would feed sloping pigs... everything thrown together in one "molcajete" and no side plate to eat from. Tortillas are about the size of a small tea plate and the service was nothing to speak about.

Authentic Matamoros flavor and dishes. Loved the decor and attentive service. The filete arriete was tender with deep roasted red pepper flavor.
