Very friendly staff serving authentic German cuisine. The sandwiches are particularly good and great value. We were just tourists visiting from San Francisco, but it was filled with locals at around 3:30 in the afternoon. We will go back and pickup lunch on the way to the airport. Centrally located 2 blocks from Temple Square and 1 block from convention... More

My niece and I were in SLC for 5 days, and this deli was around the corner from our hotel. We ate here twice during our stay. The Schnitzel was good. Their shrimp salad side was delicious and had a generous amount of shrimp. The Reuben sandwich was good. My niece had ordered a two sausage plate, and she said... More

A group of us went to Siegfried's for lunch, some of us for the first time. The atmosphere was pretty hectic, as we went right at lunchtime! The food was delicious however & the sides were different. I had the Pastrami Reuben & an order of Spaetzle with a touch of gravy. The Spaetzle was tasty & quite delicious. The... More

Great food; home style dining. Authentic German cuisine. Friendly atmosphere but not fancy. Think red checker tablecloths . They even have a small store to purchase German foods. The bakery is to die for for if you like black forest cake and torte's German style. A local favorite in Salt Lake City. Its always crowded during lunch hour. If you... More

Unfortunately I had this the last meal. German style deli (though I think they are Lithuanian) with what seemed like authentic dishes. Had the Nuremberg Brat special. It came with 2 brats (these are on the skinnier side) and 2 sides (kraut and spaetzle). $7 Very tasty. Filling. Kraut was exceptional. They put a brown sauce on the spaetzle that... More

Awesome place to grab a bite! Low key atmosphere and fast service. The bratwurst was amazing!! As were the fried potatoes, red cabbage, and sauerkraut. Not a huge fan of the schnitzel, but nothing can be perfect. They also have a small grocery section where you can buy some of your favorite German treats to go - if you're like... More

This place is walking distance from anything downtown. The place gets busy so go early or late to get a seat. It is well worth a visit! Authentic sausages, spaetzle and potato salads (warm and cold). Try the wienerschnitzel. Generous portions. About $10 for lunch. Will be back. PS-the cashier said they have been in business for 45 years. Amazing!

It is located just down the street from Capitol Theatre, we went there after seeing a Broadway show. I had their Ruben sandwich which is made a lot of lean corned beef and grilled. It was excellent. I had a side of spaetzle with gravy which was very good. To finish off lunch I had an chocolate éclair, that was... More

Very delicious German cafeteria type restaurant that also has German treats for sale. The food was very authentic and I personally LOVED the saurkraut! Very laid back and great place to grab a quick bite with friends and you are able to sit and talk without being hurried out. Food was great!

This is my "go to" restaurant when I am in Salt Lake City. The food is great, authentic and inexpensive. My favorite is Leberkase. I don't know of another place in town that has this dish and it tastes just like it does in Bavaria and Austria. Wienerschnitzel is also an excellent choice. Combine either with the 2 side dishes...
