Great Nigeri and Sushi Rolls. Everything was fresh and very well made. Sauces were great and the Spider Roll was exceptional. Bento Box had a lot of variety, teriyaki was exceptional, tempura was light and crisp. Overall, it was very good food. Service was outstanding and we had no wait for a late lunch.

Had to spend an unexpected overnight in SLC and couldn't find a downtown hotel room. The Residence Inn in Cottonwood was the only reasonable choice. Mikado is across the street in a strip mall loaded with restaurants. A lively place, nice sushi bar, and interesting Sake menu. Had a Sashimi mix that was excellently prepared and presented. They eagerly customized... More

I've been going to Mikado in Cottonwood Heights for almost 10 years and it is still one of my favorite sushi restaurants. The playboy roll, the red dragon and salmon crunch are my favorites, but I've never had a bad sushi roll at Mikado so I think you're safe with whatever you order. The service is a little slow, but... We love the bountiful location, the best service and chefs! We love the Kipy rolls, the best sushi rolls we have had.

There were plenty of tables and spots open at the sushi bar (room for 20+) and we walked in 20 minutes before "Happy Hour" ended. There was conveniently a 25 minute wait... Nice bait-and-switch. Food has gone downhill over the last 5 years, taste is less fresh.

Sushi was good. Not bad, but maybe not the most amazing. But really the pull is the reasonable prices for the quality you get, and they do have a small flare for super spicy "challenge" rolls. They also used to have a decent selection of rolls for discount on Mondays. Not sure if that is still going on. If you... More

Decent food, but nothing to write home about. Left satisfied but feeling like I was looking forward to going again. When thinking of places to go have lunch with friends/colleagues, it's not on my list even though it's right across the street! Service is decent, but can be hit-or-miss.

I have been going to Mikado for years and have probably taken my partners and employees here at least 20 or 30 times. On Mondays and Tuesdays they price their sushi pretty much 50% off. The playboy roll is awesome and for some reason I really like the way that they do the spicy tuna roll. Huge fan of Mikado... More

Mikado used to be the restaurant I like, until I went to the Bountiful one today! The food is not that good. The service is even worst for not a busy day. Nobody seem to have a good atitude. They do not seem to care, included the manager! We do not once get our water fill and so do get... More
