First thing that stands out about my visit is their very friendly staff that greeted us upon arrival and patiently guided us through the process for ordering - all with a smile - thank you! There's plenty of room inside and well proportionate to social...distancing guidelines. The menu is quite vast with plenty to choose from. On this visit, we tried the beef tips, jambalaya, baked beans, cole slaw, mac & cheese with brisket sandwich and chicken. All were very good and nicely flavored as Memphis style BBQ might or at least the closest outside of Tennessee :) There's at least 4 different sauces on the table for you to also use and choose from. The food was very tasty and plenty. The only feedback I might have would be the bread bun for our brisket and chicken sandwiches were a bit dry as if they were more than day old. It made the sandwiches taste a bit hard to bite so we just at the meat. Other than that - everything was just fine. Parking is in back side, but has only so many spaces. That might be something to consider as you may have to park across the street at Smith's if it's crowded.More

I loved the pork ends and the dipping sauce was amazing. I also had the turkey and had the mustard sauce for it and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend this bbq joint! They didn't have sweet tea though.

I had brisket and turkey and collards and fries. The brisket was cooked good but you do not get very much meat for the price. The turkey was good . The collards were under cooked and had a sour like flavor. Whoever is cooking the...collards needs to get a good country recipe and get rid of this one. Im from the south and know greens.More

Not the best bbq i have had. Little on the dry side and not “fall off the bone”. Flavor was ok with good smoke. Really good sides. Disappointed- i ordered two wings to sample- got one wing cut in half. You are a bbq joint...not a Buffalo Wild Wings. Nice facility and friendly staff.More

Ordered the ribs and chicken. Both were delicious. Ribs were fall off the bone. Loved the mustard based bque sauce on the chicken. Best baked beans I’ve ever had. Wish I had ordered for both sides. Wasn’t a fan of the seasonal coleslaw. Tasted a...little off. Enjoyed the Ace pear cider and Wasatch apricot hefe.More

We needed to eat before our flight and decided to try BBQ at Sugarhouse. I have one thing to say : stop reading and GO EAT THERE!! The menu is great and the BBQ hands down was fantastic. I had 1/2 rack w the daily...vegetable and baked beans. The beans were the best I've had and I've had them in many places. The BBQ was tender, juicy and delicious. I highly recommend using their classic Sugarhouse BBQ sauce. It's so damn good I wanted to buy some (which they sell) but I couldn't take on the plane. Anyway, the restaurant is clean, modern and easy to navigate. Staff super friendly and welcoming. A really stellar BBQ and can't wait to go again next trip!!More

The Sugarhouse had all of the usual BBQ offerings on the menu and after walking by their outdoor pit, I had set my eyes on brisket. Unlike most Texas style BBQ where you can order any meat by weight, this was a more orderly menu...with combinations rather than an ala carte system. The brisket was lean as I requested. The baked beans were very flavorful with bits of meat, tomato and a sweet sauce. The coleslaw was very good as well. My waiter had introduced me to the variety of sauces on the table. There was a buffalo, vinegar based sauce, a tomato based dark red sweet sauce and a brown sugar and mustard sauce that he said was his favorite. Having never tried a mustard sauce, I made it my first choice. It was amazing imparting flavors unlike any I have had before. It was all I used for my meal. I loved it so much I purchased 2 bottle to take home.More

Excellent BBQ. Your normal casual rib dining experience...no fancy plates, no cloth napkins--just good ole eats. Anyone who says their meats are "dry" are culinary novices...that's why there's BBQ sauce. Duh.

Ok food, brisket was dry. Smoked Turkey was good. Jambalaya was ok. Biggest complaint is the help or lack of. Waitress was more intrested in talking the other workers at the bar. Never came by to check on anything. Didnt tell us what the different...unmarked saucers were on the table.More

They are primarily a bbq but if one of the group was a vegetarian you would have limited options. It is doable but I would not try if it were me.
