Generous portions of very good Chinese food. We had vegetarian stir-fry with tofu and Szechuan Chicken. Both lunches came with fried rice and soft chow mein.
If you go, there is a parking lot north of the building - don't pay for parking like we did. Enter from the east side of the block.

The food at Charlie Chow's is okey, but I wouldn't say it is spectacular. You have to really be in the mood for Chinese food.

I am surprised to see that the reviews weren't more positive as the place was packed for lunch. In addition, there was a steady flow of carry-out. The staff seemed to be well-trained and worked well together. My eggplant dish was delicious. I would consider going back if I find myself in Salt Lake City again.

Absolute hidden gem. If you love Chinese food you will love this place. Some of the best Chinese food I’ve ever had. Definitely order off the menu versus getting the stir fry grill. All the great dishes are in the menu. Highly recommend!

5 STARS -- HIGHLY RECOMMEND:
We went here for my birthday dinner, and it was absolutely excellent! We all had the all-you-can-eat Mongolian Barbecue Buffet, and we all loved it! You get to choose everything you want to eat, and then they stir-fry it for you on a wok. It was so much fun, and the employees are all super friendly, too. I very strongly recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a great dinner & a great time! Enjoy!!!

I really want to go again! The food was so good and I love that it was all you can eat. I just wish we could have gotten more meat. They do limit it quite a bit with the tags.

I tried dinner here due to all the positive reviews. I tried Kung Pao Shrimp and a side salad. Service was great! Very friendly and quick. The food was served fresh and hot, and the portions were large. I pulled into the ally next to the restaurant and found there was no customer parking, so I ended up circling the block and entering a small parking terrace from 300 E., where there was only one spot available. This surprised me, as there were only 8-10 people in the restaurant.

This place is popular and busy. The service is good and the food fresh and delicious no matter what time you come. The 5pm hour is the best time to visit, just before the dinner rush begins.

Charlie Chow’s was our Chinese choice during the dōTERRA Convention last week. The staff was friendly and helpful and our food was very good. The place was hopping but we were waited on quickly and our server was more than happy to explain the 2 sides of the restaurant, Mongolian bbq or Chinese off the menu. We will definitely return next year.

Been eating here on business trips for five years and marvel at the consistent quality and device. The same owners and line cooks and wait staff this entire time, and month in and month out, during my visits to SLC for business, the food is fresh, fast, and tasty, and always a good value.

You pick the food and they cook it for you. I've tried several Mongolian grills and this is my favorite. You have to try the Charlie Chow sauce too. It is all you can eat, but lots of healthy veggies. I will be back many times!

We called in and ordered take out just before they closed. They were very accommodating and happy to help. The food was ready quickly. We will go back to try out the Mongolian grilling option next time.

The “dragon grill” is deservedly popular and the chance to prepare your own ingredients for the grill, including sauces and flavors, for a super fresh tasty meal is the reason to come here. But don’t forget the menu. Excellent dishes along traditional lines.

Nice setup. You choose your fresh foods, and leave it on the counter for them to grill, and get it back soon afterwards, hot and ready and delicious. They didn't add ours to the Lettuce wrap as requested but the rest was perfect.
