We stopped in for a late lunch and we had a fabulous meal. We ordered the grilled salmon and the Caesar salad with tuna. Both dishes were fresh and flavorful. I had the hibiscus blueberry tea and it was yummy. The chocolate chip cookie was...a nice treat- and very generous in size. Service was great and the food arrived quickly. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed. Easy parking behind the building. They roast their own coffee and have a large selection of herbal, green and black teas. They have several vegan options for meals and deserts. There is a book store right next door. Highly recommend.More

I was looking for a night's dessert, and I checked online. It was open, but when you get there, it seems to be close, as the outside looked like the place was closed. Parking is on the back of the building, and the entrance is...through the back, which threw me off. The desserts are delicious, and everything on the menu looked good. I will have to come back to try their meals. The staff is friendly and helpful. Their huevos rancheros wasn’t that great and the tomatoes soup is ok. Their German pancake was more like a loaf bread.More

Every time we eat here I am pleased with my meal. But what I really like is the range of offerings, we have vegan friends and there are plenty of vegan options. You can have traditional breakfast items or salad or sandwiches; I really like...that picky eaters (me) can be happy there. It's popular so reservations are a must. Yo can eat outdoors in an inner atrium or on the west side of the restaurant. Service is usually fine and if you have to wait The Golden Braid (a bookstore) is adjacent. Parking can be problematic and there are stairs but still it's my favorite breakfast option in Salt Lake City.More

Came here for lunch after visiting the Natural History Museum. Nice atmosphere, especially the outdoors area, which is shaded and decorated with plants. The food was average. Reasonably priced lunch-sized portions. The eggs benedict Florentine was a bit bland, including the potatoes, but the potatoes...were not at all greasy which was great. The steak sandwich was also medium. I liked the salad that came with it because it had cranberries, grapes, and pecans.More

Great server CoJay! The halibut had a few bones. I liked the lavender panna cotta and the Bloody Mary mocktail. Not too crowded

We came at 8.30pm for dinner. Not many customers and waiters were preparing to close. We ordered halibut fish, eggplant risotto and panacotta as our dessert. Halibut fish was a bit salty while eggplant risotto was blant. Panna cotta is yummy, thick and right sweetness...level. I would say that it is pricey for the quality of food although the food is presented nicely.More

Fresh, creative menu with many gluten free options. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Our travel schedule kept us from trying breakfast this trip, but I look forward to a future opportunity.

I've been to the Oasis Cafe for brunch with my friend several times. They have a good selection and I've enjoyed everything that I've tried. The servers have always been friendly and quick on the refills. I've had the Eggs Benedict several times and also...tried a couple of the sandwiches and salads. This is a friendly place for a quick bite in pretty surroundings.More

This place should be way higher on this list. I went here upon arriving in SLC because it was walking distance and the menu had items that fit the restricted diet I was on. The tritip medallions were out of this world. Went back a...second time and had the paprika crusted chicken. The interior patio is lovely and you can visit the awesome book store that is attached. We were a group of seven for the second visit, and some of them had gone for breakfast saying it was fantastic.More

We were visiting a local who recommended that we eat lunch at the Oasis Cafe before our return flight from SLC. Unfortunately, our visit started off poorly because the hostess tried to seat our group of 4 at a table on the patio right next...to the door. Two chairs at that table were within inches of the door and those of us sitting there might have had our chairs "whacked" by the door every time someone entered or exited the patio. There were several other 4-tops in better locations where we could have been seated so we asked to be seated at one of those, which we were. Nevertheless, it annoys me when hosts/hostesses automatically try to seat me at the worst table when better tables are available. Things got better when we saw the menu contained many delicious-sounding dishes at such reasonable prices. I was interested in the grilled cheese sandwich and soup (either tomato fennel or soup-of-the-day) and asked our server what the soup-of-the-day was. He admitted that he did not know (!) and had to ask another server who said it was beef stew. That sounded good, so that's what I ordered. Another person at our table also ordered a dish with the soup-of-the-day. His meal arrived first and the bowl contained potato soup. The server then explained that he had been misinformed about the soup, but he never came back to let us know! So, I asked him to bring me the tomato fennel soup instead, which he did. I have certainly eaten my fair share of grilled cheese sandwiches, either in cafes or prepared at home, and this had to be the...worst...grilled cheese sandwich that I have ever eaten. The two cheeses on the sandwich (Vermont white cheddar and orange cheddar) were fine, but the sandwich had no taste of any butter for grilling and it had been grilled on a on open flame, not a griddle, and it was actually burned in a lot of places. Eating a sandwich on burned bread certainly was not appealing. (But the tomato fennel soup was good.) So, between having a clueless hostess who tried to seat us at the worst table to a clueless (but nice) server who didn't tell us about a change on the menu to a cook who could not prepare a simple grilled cheese sandwich without burning it, I cannot recommend the Oasis Cafe.More

We visited Oasis Cafe based on the recommendation of a friend who lives and works in SLC. The food was excellent every dish was extremely tasty and deliver hot. The service was very good the waiter never had to be asked to refill water and...was watchful of our needs from a distance and swooped right in on time. The courtyard area was a very nice atmosphere to have dinner. Also loved the adjacent book store which is worth visiting just on its own. Don’t miss the food while you are there! We will be back and the two locals with us will be returning as well.More

We had a 10:15 reservation on Thanksgiving. We were out and about early so we got to the Oasis about 9:50. It was less than half full. Many tables available! We told the hostess, Jade we were early but would like to be seated if...possible. She immediately said no you need to wait for your reservation time. We sat patiently for 15 minutes without anyone coming into the place but several guests leaving. I asked Jade why we were not being seated and she said there were no "two tops" available even though we could see many that were open in the half empty restaurant. I sat back down and a party of two walked in and were seated immediately. We had both had enough and walked up and said we want to be seated now. Jade said nothing but took us to a table that had been sitting empty for 30 minutes. I asked to speak to the manager who did nothing but defend Jade and make excuses. We ate our meal, which, by the way was just average. Not bad, certainly not great. We sat at our table for 30-40 minutes and finished our meal and left. During that time a party of two and a party of 3 came into the place. When we left the restaurant was way over half empty. Jade's unfriendly and frankly dishonest attitude ruined our experience at the Oasis Cafe.More
