Pros: Very good diner food, large portions, fun staff, outside seating. Cons: None that I can think of.

Good menu Great service and great food. Was worth the 40 minute wait on New Year's morning for our party of 5.

What can I say? I love the Blue Plate. When we lived in Salt Lake it was our "go to" place. Consistency and tasty meals makes this place special. I use their huevos rancheros as the gold standard for any other restaurant I visit. My wife always gets the Eggs Benedict. As a side note, please join me in complaining... More

We found TBP while skiing Utah many years back. It was in a local magazine and we were staying in Sugarhouse so gave it a go. It quickly became our favourite in SLC - and one of the very best anywhere we've traveled. Service is always funky and friendly, menu is excellent with tasty specials to augment it. Ample space... I was pleasantly surprised when ordering some hung-over corned beef hash (for take out) that they could include a gluten free pancake instead of toast. AND it was yummy! Way to go Blue Plate!

This is a Diner, Drive In and Dives place. We had a late lunch/dinner. My wife had the meat lasagna, and it was just ok. I had the meatloaf and it was very good with a lot of taste. The battered onion rings were the second best I have ever had in my life. Fries are also very good. Waitresses... More

As advertised the food was very good. We ate every bit. Our waitress was a little slow to serve us and also absent minded. All in a good experience. We waited about 20 mins at 11:30 am on a Sunday

Great omelettes, mine was Utah with smoked ham, red capsicum and havarti. Friend had a biscuit which was dry. Enjoyed our coffees and milk shake. Recommended.

We had about 10 people in our group and everyone wanted to go someplace out of downtown SLC. So we chose this unique place to dine. the building is oddly laid out and parking is an absolute nightmare with a 12 passenger van. But the atmosphere was good, wait staff was polite and attentive to our needs. The wait time... More
