Wine tasting event was outstanding

Wine tasting event pairing some Portuguese wines with some small bites gave the restaurant (and the winemaker) to show off their wares. Made for a fun evening and a delicious pairing. Martine always does it right. Great place for lunch or dinner.

My wife and I had dinner recently at Martine. The ambience is wonderful, two-story interior with lots of wood and warmth. Feels cozy. Intimate without feeling too crowded in. Excellent service with professional and attentive server. I had a pork tenderloin with a spinach/pistachio salad and chocolate decadence for dessert. My wife had the lentil/sweet potato soup with sea bass... More

I think you cant go wrong with any of the choices. The char was excellent. I liked my husband's house salad better than the endive one but that's a quibble. Great bread: chewy, dense. EXcellent olives - we shared desert - it was enough for 2.

The food here is delicious and is very authentic. The building was small but they made the most of it. Would definitely go back.

This restaurant was a huge treat from beginning to end. Martine is in a sophisticated looking space in downtown Salt Lake City with upholstered booths, a high-ceilinged/ exposed brick design and good jazz. Our server, Miko, was personable and professional and gave us excellent advice on our menu choices. She suggested the pork bellies, something I would never have ordered... More

Martine is a trendy little restaurant that sees a lot of its clientele from downtown businesses. It is inside an old bank and there are fun touches like vaults you can see when you look around. It really is a cool little place. The food is good. Of course it's trendy, so it's on the more expensive side. Their house... More

Dinner for 4 at Martine before the Utah Symphony was excellent as usual. 3 of us opted for the Prix Fixe, both 3 and 4 course. Great lamb shank with caramelized cipollini onions and very good cioppino. One in our party had the scallops, which were also excellent, but they were not served as hot as the other three entrees-... I took myself out to dinner before a concert, Martine is a perfect spot to begin a great evening. The menu changes with season and availability so be as curious as they are inventive. Locally sourced ingredients, small producers and a confident kitchen combine for a delightful meal. The staff is attentive and intelligent. Not a "just one?" -- while... More

Anytime we visit a cafe or restaurant in Utah for a cocktail we are "forced" to order something to eat, as per Utah's funny drinking laws. And so with the refreshing "Beehive Cooler" and "Nectar" mixed drinks, we ordered a "Chanterelle Mushrooms and Caramelized Apples" side. The drinks speak for themselves, However I do have to make a comment about... More

My daughter had been wanting to try this restaurant for a while. We were pleasantly suprised by the intimate atmosphere. The butter nut squash soup was delicious! The entrees were on point also. The best part of the night was our server Miranda! We were unaware that it was more of a "adult" atmosphere during dinner. We had our two... More
