I have loved Martine for years - but have found that I was going less and less often. The quality of the food is slipping. This weekend, the seafood pasta had a sauce that was watery and the ice cream with the gingerbread dessert was so dry it was crumbling. The interior is beautiful and the drinks are consistently good.... More

I love soup and I haven't ever been disappointed. Nothing I have ordered here has disappointed me. In fact, nothing I have ordered has been a disappointment. I recommend the lunch menu as it is the least expensive. You can make reservations if you want to secure a table. The setting is intimate and comfortable.

This was a true disappointment. The management must have seen a real opportunity on Valentine's Day. Despite having a reservation and arriving 10 minutes early, we were placed in a cave upstairs in a very tight table rather than the more congenial location on the main floor which gives the place part of its main attraction. Food was overpriced and... More

My wife & I celebrated Valentine's with a pre-concert dinner at Martine. We arrived at 5pm, ordered drinks and shortly after the meal which was fixed price of $45 for soup or salad, tapas or entree and dessert. Quite a varied menu from which my wife picked a spicy tomato soup, ahi tunna and ginger/ice cream dessert. I selected a... More

Wine tasting event pairing some Portuguese wines with some small bites gave the restaurant (and the winemaker) to show off their wares. Made for a fun evening and a delicious pairing. Martine always does it right. Great place for lunch or dinner.

My wife and I had dinner recently at Martine. The ambience is wonderful, two-story interior with lots of wood and warmth. Feels cozy. Intimate without feeling too crowded in. Excellent service with professional and attentive server. I had a pork tenderloin with a spinach/pistachio salad and chocolate decadence for dessert. My wife had the lentil/sweet potato soup with sea bass... More

I think you cant go wrong with any of the choices. The char was excellent. I liked my husband's house salad better than the endive one but that's a quibble. Great bread: chewy, dense. EXcellent olives - we shared desert - it was enough for 2.

The food here is delicious and is very authentic. The building was small but they made the most of it. Would definitely go back.

This restaurant was a huge treat from beginning to end. Martine is in a sophisticated looking space in downtown Salt Lake City with upholstered booths, a high-ceilinged/ exposed brick design and good jazz. Our server, Miko, was personable and professional and gave us excellent advice on our menu choices. She suggested the pork bellies, something I would never have ordered... More

Martine is a trendy little restaurant that sees a lot of its clientele from downtown businesses. It is inside an old bank and there are fun touches like vaults you can see when you look around. It really is a cool little place. The food is good. Of course it's trendy, so it's on the more expensive side. Their house... More
