My wife and I ate at Log Haven about a week ago. The place was very unique, in the mountains, and we sat in what I would call the main dinning room. Across the street was a water fall. The menu was small, but good. Much spicier then I thought. I had the bison, that came with a spicy chorizo... More

The restaurant is located in the National Park in the middle of a densely wooded area. It's a drive up the mountain, 20 minutes from the airport but a good one, in the woods. The ambiance is second to none. Small rooms, cabin like, little lights. The menu is unique-elk, rabbit, corn that is flavored with almonds and amaretto. Prices... More

This is probably my favorite restaurant in Utah. In a narrow canyon surrounded my nature (opposite a waterfall, no less), the place has an intimate patio setting with generously spaced tables. Impeccable and friendly service. The food (cocktails, bison steak, desert) and wine are comme il faut, carefully sourced and prepared with care. I like the not-over-the-top perfectionism at LH,... In a beautiful mountain setting with excellent service, high quality food choices, and soft background music being played on a baby grand. Parking can be tricky and the dessert had WAY to much liquor in the sauce, thus the 4 stars. But overall a perfect place for an anniversary dinner.

This place is truly unique. The food is spectacular. We tried an appetizer, two entrees, a bottle of wine and dessert. All were superb. This is not a "budget" restaurant, as entrees are $30-$40. Wine bottles started around $40. Our total bill was about $190 with tip, so be prepared for that! However, the food was amazing. The service was... More

A gem-- tucked away in Wasatch-Cache National Forest-- is a worthy destination location. After spending a week in Jackson Hole, my family and I had an amazing evening at Log Haven. Outdoor patio was enchanting, with a moss-covered waterfall and a canopy that can provide cover in the event of rain. Propane heaters and handed-out blankets made it even more... More

This is such a neat place. First, you have to drive deep into a canyon to get there - very scenic. Then, the restaurant itself has a view of a very picturesque waterfall. No wonder it is a venue for weddings and receptions! The food was superlative - I had elk and my wife had Halibut. The service was impeccable.... More

Nice romantic restaurant in mill creek canyon. Good food prepared and served elegantly. Piano music on many nights. The back patio is great in the right season, but watch out for dine with your dog night. Unless your into that kind of thing.

Log Haven has always been one of our favorite restaurants. They have an outside amphitheater area you can bring your dog with you for dinner. We had the entire area to ourselves. Eight adults, two kids and four dogs. They use to serve doggy dinners for your critter but Salt Lake Health Department in all their wisdom put a halt... More
