We were only in town for the night. We wanted something different for dinner. We found this restraunt close to where we were staying. We had several sushi rolls, gyoza dumplings, tempura, soup, makrel. Excellent choice for dinner. Food & atmosphere were great! Would definately...go again.More

Kyoto is the best authentic Japanese restaurant in Salt Lake City! The food is fresh and delicious. The ambiance is amazing and the staff works very hard to make your experience truly delightful! I highly recommend Kyoto.

My friend had a student from Japan staying for a couple of weeks so we thought we would take him to an American Japanese restaurant. I had been here many years ago and it was still great. The sukiyaki had too many noodles and not...enough vegetables and meet. The teriyaki chicken was outstanding. Service was great too.More

This cozy little restaurant is tucked into a mostly residential neighborhood very close to the University and the Hampton Inn where we were staying. The food was great and the atmosphere was charming. We will definitely go again.

This is an old standby for Japanese food in SLC. It has new owners and they are doing a good job. Their Gyoza is perfect and the Tempura, light and tasty. We ate well and took home quite a bit.

Me and my friend had a fresh prepared sushi in a few minutes! It was one of the best sushi that I’ve ever had. Excellent quality (especially the chirashi that I ordered), plus the kind waiter suggest us the dessert (chocolate sushi) that was sooooo...good! Definitely recommended for families, couples and friends!More

Found two hairs on one of our sushi rolls. Can’t unsee that and that abruptly ended what was just a halfway decent attempt at Japanese food. I’m from Seattle and I now know not to eat sushi in SLC :(

The place was busy but the atmosphere was nice. Sushi was really good, tempura was good but my beau ate mussels and he got sick afterwards. That’s why I have mixed feelings.

I've been to Japan and have had lots of Asian food, this is my top favorite! Rice is delicious. Pork cutlets and sauce is terrific. Gyoza and Sukiyaki has amazing flavor! Make a reservation, they get busy nightly.

We had dinner with beef sukiyaki for me and nabeyaki udon for my Japanese SO. We also had a side of sushi. My sukiyaki was very good, but my partner was less impressed with her nabeyaki udon. The sushi (tuna roll) was rough cut and...not up to Japanese standards (the chef is definitely not Japanese). My SO would not so back.More
