Went here for a birthday dinner for my college-age son, on the recommendation of some of his friends. Everything we ordered tasted wonderful, from the bruschetta to the budino for dessert. But be warned this place is popular. We had no reservation on a Saturday...and sat at the wine bar because no tables were available until 9 PM. The service was still great at the wine bar.More
Dinner on Sunday at Stoneground will leave you satiated with their offering of eight different Artisan pizzas, salad and a small bowl of pasta.
All you can eat pizza is the draw to Sunday Supper. The pieces are small and plentiful. From pepperoni and sausage...to creamy tomato with mozzarella you are certain to be satisfied.
Stoneground has a full bar as well as wine, beer and soft drinks. Whether you eat inside or on the patio with misters, the casual atmosphere, excellent staff and amazing pizza will ensure a pleasurable dining experience.More
Every Sunday my son and I argue over where to go for dinner - finding that most of our favorite places are closed. Tonight, we looked at Trip Advisor, for some suggestions that were close to us. (We avoid driving on Fourth South!) Found Stone...Ground, and decided to try it for pizza. Found the downstairs dining area full, so took the ELEVATOR to the upstairs restaurant. Found that on Sunday they serve a fixed price menu - so we tried it. (Took our own wine - $12.00 corkage.) The meal, for us, was a constant stream of various DELICIOUS thin crust pizza, a large bowl of a tasty green salad (great dressing, but I didn't care for their choice of endive-style greens.) A portion of a very different borchetta, and MORE pizza.
Extremely attentive servers!
Left completely sated, but that may be due to half a bottle of aged great Spanish Genache wineMore
We decided to try this highly ranked eatery even though it was a little hike from our hotel. The impeccable service, the delicious food and the fun ambiance made our experience one we want to repeat next time we are in SLC.
I was looking for a restaurant within walking distance from my hotel and the menu for Stoneground intrigued me and my husband. Everything was fabulous! We both had the house salad, then I had the pasta special which was gnocchi with lamb and my husband...had the Pietra pizza. Even though we were stuffed we couldn’t resist trying the donuts with vanilla gelato. We live outside of Washington DC and the food scene in the city is exceptionally good so I know what a great restaurant is. Stoneground’s chef is doing everything right. The wait staff is pleasant, the cocktail and beer list is interesting and the food is fantastic. Thanks for a wonderful meal!More
First time here and really enjoyed. Loved the lighting (makes or breaks a place IMO) We were sat in a very comfortable booth. Very friendly and attentive server. We started with the polenta tots and the braciole crudo - both very good. 3 of us...ordered the lasagna and the fourth ordered the linguini. No bread served which was a little strange considering the pasta dishes. I loved the atmosphere and comfortable seating. Warning before you head downstairs to the restroom - get the code from the front desk before you walk all the way downstairs and have to walk back up. We'll be back.More
