The Nauvoo café is in the Joseph Smith Memorial Building, first floor. It is accessible via Temple Square. The food was as tasty as a small café can get. 'Real" food is available. There is a mixture of families, businessmen and bridal parties dropping in to eat. For Salt Lake City, it was price on the high end (for the... More

Their turkey pot pie is delicious. That and a salad for $9.99 -- perfect. And of course, must have desert. Love this cafe!

This place rocks for a great get in get out place to get an awesome sub. I even came here and got the pot pie and it was still amazing. If you like authentic subs, you'll most probably love this place, come early as there can be lines sometimes though

Been here many times while visiting downtown. I love the combination of the relaxed cafe atmosphere with fairly simple food, but nicer than any of the Utah chain cafes. Finally tried the Turkey Pot Pie last time and loved it.

After a chilly but fascinating, docent tour of Temple Square the Nauvoo Cafe', located in the J. Smith Memorial Building was a warm, inviting, spotlessly clean lunch stop with a wonderful menu of soup, salads, & sandwiches. Tomato Soup arrived hot, rich & perfect to take the chill off the day; Turkey/Cranberry Sandwich is a classic with generous slices of... More

Go here every year as we go see the lights downtown. Ordered the chicken salad sandwich and a cup of tomato asiago soup. The sandwich was wonderful but the soup was called which was surprising as the cafe was extremely busy but didn't have the heart to complain as it was so busy. It will not stop me from going... Great for a quick stop for food as you're visiting the area. The kids had no problem finding something to eat and the prices were reasonable.

On the ground floor of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. Good food, generous serves, reasonable prices. It's a buffet-type restaurant, adjacent to Temple Square.
