We were told about the resturant by the front desk where we stayed. The food was great. We had tapas and small plates for dinner. The food was delicious. The service was very friendly and prompt.

We came here for lunch as we're in town for the Antiques Road Show because we were looking for alternatives to the nasty chain restaurants that surround the Salt Lake City Sheraton. The Tin Angel Cafe was perfect for lunch, from the friendly greeting from Athena, to the farm-fresh food offerings, to the Tin Drop libation. The restaurant has three... More

I was visiting SLC for a few days and found this place recommended in the Visitor's Guide and other publications. Convenient for us, since we were staying at the Hampton Inn located just two blocks away. The restaurant is in front of the Pioneer Park, which looks nice but has quite a few homeless people. I understand there are concerts... More

Great food and service. Interesting menu. Not the best wine list, beer okay. When we were here it was very hot outside and I was uncomfortable the whole meal due to lack of A/C inside. Across from a park full of homeless, so don't walk here.

Being seated immediately on a Wednesday evening was the first sign of a delightful experience. For starters, the drink menu offered a plethora of options. Our favorite was the Black Lemon cocktail. Very refreshing and moderately priced. Our choices for meals were the Espresso Crusted Beef Tenderloin and Sage and Roast Chicken Pasta. Service was timely and the meals were... More

We had a great lunch at the Tin Angel Cafe after the Saturday famer's market downtown. It is a cute little restaurant with unique décor. The wait staff was very friendly. The food was good and we enjoyed our visit - it was a great interesting lunch. They had a nice variety of offerings with a brunch menu available, lovely... More

My students and I were looking for an interesting restaurant with unusual fare and we happened upon the Tin Angel Cafe because the description had the word "quirky" in it. This was an understatement! We loved the eclectic style of the place and the staff was equally unique (and very helpful and pleasant). For lunch, I had the house special... More

I got 3 tapas and 2 duck tacos for $20. The speck wrapped shrimp were my favorite, if I had to pick one. Big perfectly cooked shrimps. crispy chewy proscuitto with an Apricot Champagne Vinaigrette. I am going to try and make that vinaigrette at home. Tenderloin coated in espresso with a chunk of blue cheese. Don't pop the whole... More

We were looking for a casual, quality food experience after spending two entire weeks in SLC and found it here. The hostess was an utter, enthusiastic delight, our server was knowledgeable but condescending, but the food was excellent. We had appetizers, entrees and dessert and enjoyed all of it. The prices are exceedingly reasonable, the favors are interesting, and the... More
