While the menu is small, the food here is great -- definitely very tasty. You'll definitely find something you enjoy. The atmosphere is semi-friendly and I would not recommend this location for small children. The drawback I find is the high noise level -- the dining room is such a small area, the tables are really kind of crammed in... More

Appetizer, and main course was average in presentation and taste. The price was way to high for the overal value. There was four of us and we felt the same way. The foods was not terrible, just over priced.

This is a place that is a must visit. The time to visit is the heat of the dinner rush hour and if you can, sit on the stools facing the showcase style kitchen. The show and flavors being orchestrated by Owner, Ryan Lowder and Chef Nelson is simply one of the best events of the year, from flavor, presentation... More

We aren't sure what all the fantastic reviews were about! Traveling through from Dallas and we read the reviews and decided to give it a try. The service was nice ... Nothing above average . The food was average at best and pricey at that. I had the fish special that was good but way too salty, husband has the... More

I was travelling alone, so sat at the bar/kitchen table. This was amazing - to see the chefs skills and diligence to their craft! I order the pork belly which was unbelievable, but quite a small portion, but the wagyu stroganoff was quite large and prepared to perfection. The butter milk panna cotta was exceptional. The beer and wine menu... More

We'd been camping for 5 straight nights and were desperate for a nice meal out. This fit the bill. It was a little pricey, but we each had a great cocktail, a wonderful entree and dessert. Get the salted chocolate pudding, it was stellar!

I unknowingly walked in 10 minutes before they closed for lunch. I hate to be "that gal". The entire staff were great though. Even though they were ready to close, the waiter still asked if was interested in dessert after I finished eating. I had the special sandwich, a BLT, it was very tasty. I highly recommend lunch or dinner... More

Absolutely the best meal we had on our trip. Every single item on the menu is innovative and delicious and we know because we almost ate everything! Homemade icecreams were insane! Don't miss this place! Sat at the bar overlooking kitchen and enjoyed it very much.

We hadn't taken time to research where to stop for lunch when arriving in Salt Lake City, so we did a quick search of what was near where we were and this place won. We all ordered sandwiches, and everyone enjoyed their choices. The Cuban was a little untraditional, but still very tasty, and the fries had some good flavor.... More

Description
The Copper Onion is one of the new additions to the growing Utah foodie scene. Former NYC chef (and native Utahan) Ryan Lowder now brings his personal take on New American cuisine to his own kitchen with an approach inspired by his passion for Utah’s outstanding farmstead ingredients and his experience as a chef cooking his way through Barcelona, NYC and South America. The Copper Onion serves a wide array of vegetable side dishes and a menu designed to explore and share, with plates such as Ricotta dumplings with lemon, sage and brown butter and Braised Pork Belly with shaved Brussels sprouts and pickled celeriac. Entrees include Fresh house-made papparedelle with lamb ragout and Duck Confit with butternut squash and roasted mushroom caps. An insistent focus on the freshest and best is paramount; sausages and burgers are ground daily, bread is baked and ice cream is made in house, offering casual diners an exceptional experience at affordable prices.
