Naked Fish is now called Ikigai and the entire concept had changed. Japanese tapas sounded intriguing, and many if the dishes sounded good on paper. Unfortunately, of the eight dishes we ate, there is only one that I would even order again (sukiyaki). The rest if the meal was incredibly bland. Red snapper sashimi was okay, but nothing special. Mushrooms... More

Not sushi. A bunch of microscopic, hipsterish dishes. We had to go and eat again after dropping $40 each. The drinks did not come out until we had finished eating and the waiter pretended as if there was a problem in the kitchen when it was clear that he had not put the order in.

Having been to the naked fish a year ago, a restaurant I rated 100%, I was looking forward to returning on my annual business visit to Salt Lake City. What I found was a new restaurant called Ikigai, with a very focussed team on a taste experience however the restaurant lacked atmosphere. Previously the ambience was vibrant and alive, it... More

Same place, new name. Sushi bar is gone. Menu is way more limited, still good though. They did add some amazing calamari. I still recommend this joint, it's just not as good as it was.

Naked Fish has reopened as Ikigai(same owners/new Japanese concept) and this restaurant is simply amazing! The service is phenomenal and the quality of the food is impeccable. The ambience is warm and inviting as is the staff. I can't begin to describe the menu - an outstanding combination of ingredients and presentation - don't hesitate to talk to your server... More

Naked Fish is primarily a sushi restaurant but also offers hibachi grilled skewers of meat, chicken, fish and vegetables, along with tempura items and other Japanese cuisine specialties. Ingredients are super and menu items are very well executed. The menu is primarily small plate style, including the sushi/sashimi, and the restaurant has a full bar. Service is very good. We... I was looking for a good quality restaurant. I found this one and I was not disappointed at all. Very good quality of food and freshness. The service is nice and the place is quiet (I mean, you don't hear the traffic jam). Didn't tried it, but there are tatamis too and there is the possibility to make a big... More

At first, the menu looks like classic Japanese (i.e. no "Ski Roll"). There are plenty of classic Japanese dishes, augmented by some great Americanized creations. It is hard to figure out how much to order, so ask your server. Chicken Oysters (it's all poultry) oh my god! To die for. Fried Squid: definitely not Japanese, but so good along with... More

Went for an evening of sushi and small plates. Very good quality sushi at a reasonable price. The small dishes are phenomenal!

We were with more than 30 people so they offered us the buffet although it is not a buffet. The staff were nice and the food was absolutely gorgeous. There were both normal tables and Japanese tables (very cool) by your choice.
