This is a good sushi/Japanese restaurant. The rice on the sushi was not necessarily to my liking since it did not hold together under the fish to be able to eat it in one bite, and would crumble. Otherwise the flavors were good. The Decour was modern and had some traditional Japanese sitting places for customers at the back of... More

This year, I have been fortunate enough to dine at Nakazawa in NY and Mashiko in Seattle, so my expectations for a Japanese restaurant in landlocked Utah weren't very high. To my surprise, though distinct from either of those places, Naked Fish has the right to call themselves world class. Mashiko went "sustainable" in 2009, way ahead of the curve,... More

The food here is good enough...but do I ever decide to go there? Not really. If someone else is going I don't mind tagging along and my belly will be happy but it's not like Takashi which I CRAVE and must go to a few times a month. The fish is good but they need to elaborate on flavors.

Really wondered when we came in, after looking at the menu, but the waitress Kasie, gave us some really great tips and ideas, we ordered, and were very happy with our choices. Then the general manager Connor came to visit us, talk to us, and he even brought us several extra things to try at no charge. Definitely will be... More

Atmosphere was good and not loud....easy to have a conversation. Menu choices were fewer than I expected, but the meal was wonderful. I will return

I'll admit it. I'm a sushi snob. I prefer the simpler, more authentic items on the menu. Given my pickiness, the Naked Fish has the best quality fish in the city. No question. I've been to Takashi and all the other high-end places, and Naked Fish has the freshest fish, excellent rice, and very competent chefs. I even met one... More

The Naked Fish had some fresh good sushi and nice saki. However, the menu is very limited. The service was very good with attentive staff. The sushi chefs put out the food piece meal so our rolls came after our sushi. We like to eat them together as the roll was very spicy. We tried to order extra fish but... More

I promised to go out for Sushi while visiting my daughter in Salt Lake City. To say that is out of my comfort zone is an understatement. Our server Ryan was so helpful in explaining the menu items. He even suggested a few of his favorites. My daughter saw a few pics of some items she didn't see on the... More
