Insanely good food! I'd never been to the Siam Orchid (even though I shop at the Smith's around the same corner.) The restaurant is small on space, but HUGE on exceptionally tasty food. We are picky eaters, but every special request we made of the...chef was happily met. I chose the Green Curry with chicken, which was bursting with flavor and goodness. I felt like I'd done myself a big favor, because food had lost its appeal for me. We also tried the coconut mango soup...which had perfect fruit and a surprising taste. Actually, everything we ordered was exceptional. Why had I never noticed this spot?! It will be my go-to reward eatery from now on! The service was also above and beyond, which was another unexpected bonus.More

We tried this place for dinner and order Larb chicken, Pad Gra Prow chicken and Panang chicken. All were delicious and portions are very large. The restaurant was clean as were the restrooms.

This is my second visit to Siam Orchid, and both experiences have been superb! Today I was hungry for Thai while in the Salt Lake Valley and was happily detoured from my prior choices where I hoped to explore new menus. Due to the majority...of Thai restaurants in the area opting to eother remain closed or only open for dinner, S.O. became the defacto destination; and I couldn't be more satisfied. I started my meal with a Thom Yum soup, advertised as one of the most famous hot and sour soups in the world. While I am certain they were referencing the style of the dish, I found the words held some truth perhaps in potential of their particular execution. I appreciated the variety of curries and other dishes on the menu and opted for the panang style curry with pork after a moment's debate on the avocado curry special available today. It's hard knowing not having tried both, which would have been the better choice, but I am certainly very happy with my choice, a seeming intermediary between green and red curries with a hint of yellow in tow. Basil has a strong presence in this dish, but just enough to be clearly distinguished and not overpowering- blending smoothly into the spicy creamy coconut milk base amidst the curry spices. Service was just the right amount and speed of food delivery was impressively quick. Without even mentioning what a great deal these meals are after paying the check I would highly recommend this establishment; given the value one receives for the low cost, it becomes a must visit, especially on a Sunday when options are so limited.More

Best Massaman in SLC. I have tried a lot of massaman these people take the prize. Basil Tofu is great also. Ask for spicy if you like it that way. I do. Always fresh and done well. If you like fancy digs this place is...not for you. But great food every time I have eaten there + 30 times Great prices also.More

We at at Siam Orchid last year in 2014 for dinner and it was average. We have eaten there twice since in 2015 and the level of food has improved and they have better service than the first time we went there. Siam Orchid is...now a standby for the "don't feel like cooking" nights for my husband and I. We have had both curry and noodle dishes and they are quite good. The Tom Kha soup is very good. I would also recommend the ginger salad. Both are very tasty, and plentiful so I would recommend splitting.More

I have ordered from Siam Orchid many times over the past year or so. The food is AWESOME! It is fresh maybe a bit expensive but it is worth it to me. I have had probably most items on the menu. Every item has been...great. They will EVEN deliver to your home if you meet their requirements! Any specific questions send me a message. I should say I have never eaten at the restaurant. All of my orders I had delivered. The manager Pham is very nice and helpful if you have any questions.More

I was very surprised when the lady on the phone offered to deliver my large order with no extra charge, as yelp wanted to charge. We had so many great dishes, I wish I could remember them all. The food was fresh, very tasty, arrived...hot and well packaged. The lady who delivered the food was the same lady who took my order and was so polite and nice. The broth soup came with all the fixings in a separate container to add them before it is eaten. This dish hit the spot -chicken, bean sprouts, lime juice, cilantro and something on the top of the fixings to keep them fresh. I would highly recommend Siam Orchid in Murray!!More

Average but acceptable Thai food here. Typical lunch specials, which are a good value. The curry dishes are tasty and a good choice.

They have a great lunch special which many of these restaurants do. This place was close to where I was working for a while and have been here a few times. I have tried different plates and there is nothing that really stands out as...being above average but a great place for lunch.More

This is great Thai food. I have been to many Thai restaurants and this is definitely one of the better ones. There duck is amazing so tender. Their peanut sauce is not the best I have had better a couple of other places but it...still very yummy. Their Tom, Tom coconut soup is the best we have every had at any restaurant. We have gone to this one more than any others we like the lunch menu we like the serving sizes. The service is good. The parking sucks but that is what you get from 9th and 9th.More

We tried a number of different appetizers, all of which were just ok. The curry dishes lacked both quantity and flavor. One of the two noodles bowls was good while the other was devoid of any sort of flavor. The ambiance and service were both...very good. If you are looking for good Thai food in SLC I would strongly recommend Thai Lotus over the Thai Garden.More

This restaurant sits on the east side of the Smiths' grocery store parking lot. Unless you're coming down 900 East, you may just miss it. A small location, the menu is filled with wonderful dishes. Whether you're enjoying a lunch combination, something from their noodle...menu or a sumptuous dinner, Thai Garden will not disappoint. My favorite? the Pra Ram - steamed vegetables with chicken, beef or tofu paired with a wonderful peanut sauce (think satay). Hubby lives for the Pad Thai noodles. You can request your level of heat from mild to "Thai" spicy. It's quaint enough for lunches away from the office and cozy enough for a romantic dinner.More
