Looking for some good seafood tonight while in Macon for a Bass Pro run. Found this spot on Trip Advisor and boy was it good! Our waitress Amy was great! Can't believe a little restaurant in Central GA has fresh seafood that taste like your are sitting at the beach!

My husband and I were passing through Macon, Ga. and had no idea where to eat dinner. We found Jim Shaw's Seafood on trip advisor and took a chance. We drove off the beaten path but it was worth the drive. The homemade pimento cheese balls served with hot pepper jelly were yummy! We both had catfish which was fried... More

Ah, Jim Shaw's. The perfect solution for being too tired to cook and yet too broke to eat somewhere fancy. While that may not sound like a ringing endorsement, be assured that the husband and I adore(d) this place when we were locals. Where else could you get a big plate of fried calamari, a huge basket of shrimp and... More

Fried and boiled shrimp, cheese grits, corn on the cob, hush puppies and salad with homemade thousand island dressing makes a meal for a king. The breading on the shrimp was light and crunchy crispy. The fried pimento hush pups in a pepper jelly were a wonder and marvel of frying talent. Do not miss these! The price is reasonable... More

Great seafood - fresh, great sides, and good size servings. It is has friendly atmosphere and great staff. It has a early bird special from 5P to 6P smaller portions and lower prices. Highly recommended it.

Excellent seafood! Restaurant is owned by a local guy.....Skipper Zimmerman. He takes great pride in the seafood he buys, prepares and serves. Only the finest and best gets served there. Locals love it and visitors alike. A good way to judge a successful restaurant is by the vehicles in their parking lot. It's always crowded and unless you are an... More

This was our fourth try at eating something worthy around Macon. Finders BBQ was closed. Tropical flava had moved I guess, smoking pig BBQ wait to long. We live in coastal Fla. I should know better than to go for 'seafood' in a land locked area. The device was friendly and 'Whinny' took fine care of us. The food was... More

Come during weekdays so it's not too crowded and the wait isn't forever. Shrimps are the best, less batter but lots of flavor. Too bad oysters were removed from he menu or wasn't in the season. Seems like a family owned restaurant so waiters can have different personalities...wish we had the young ones rather....over all a great place to enjoy... More

A small run-of-the-mill seafood joint. The grouper was a little lukewarm but the squash & zucchini side had some good flavor. Overall, it holds up but nothing too outstanding.
