The menu is relatively extensive. In every case, the food is well prepared, tasty, and very inexpensive. Service tends to be basic but prompt.

Always busy, always fresh. Reservations recommended for parties of more than 2. You can also order and eat at the bar. Sushi, noodles, and great salads.

The best poki bowl on island. It may be super busy all the time but it's all worth it. The selection of food is great. If you are bored waiting for your food, go check out there store, they have some good variety of japanese snacks and items.

Went there with a bunch of friends. It looks like a mini grocery store and bakery as you step in. People are crazy with choosing which bread to purchase (yeah they're good). Then you enter another door and there's the restaurant. Pretty busy when we got there. Some food came in fast but others took some time before they were... More

Well, this place is busy most of the time. But please don't try the noodles as it's not the place to eat here. You can try the local tuna and some sushi as it's not bad.

This Japanese restaurant is the best one in Saipan. The sashimi and sushi are excellent and cheap compared to the US mainland or Japan. I ate here twice and thoroughly enjoyed it both times. Fortunately, I had read reviews of this place before I came and was expecting the service to be questionable. Yup, it's really poor. The first time... More

Locals recommended and didn't disappoint. Cheerful and simple atmosphere with good sized portions and good quality grub.

Service means a lot to me being in a service oriented business myself. Himawari has a separate cash register for restaurant patrons so you don't have to stand in the long lines for people buying take out. After dining in the restaurant I rang the bell to get a cashier , but she said they were so busy that I... More

Over all this is a great place to grab a Japanese bento, soup or sandwich. Great little restaurant that has a good selection of a range of Japanese food and soba. I go there at least 3 times a week and will continue to do so. The store area is rather crowded with various Japanese goods, but I guess that... More

Himawari started out as a Japanese grocery store, then added a bakery, then a noodle shop, then a restaurant. then a reasonably priced diving hotel. All in one place.
