What a delight to have in Renwick. As close to an English public house as we've found in New Zealand. The staff were tentertive and friendly, the food was real good pub food Good selection of beers some nice wines and a good atmosphere to drink it in.... Would be a good place to stop " Motel" when it's finished.... More

We visited and enjoyed very tasty meals in a mock English pub. Great menu at reasonable prices. Good choice of beers. I had the lamb shanks and found my choice of two shanks very filling. Unless youre a big eater just have one shank!

We were recommended to go here and previous reviews rated it. I was disappointed. My steak was warm and not cooked sufficently. And the chips could have been cooked a little more. Atmosphere was great as you would expect from an English pub. However dont rest on your laurels, I dontbthink you coped with the influx of patrons when we... More

we had dined out in so many upscale restaurants over the past 25 days that this Pub was exactly what we need. However, besides the standard pub grub it also offers a full service menus with fresh fish, beef, lamb, venison and pizza just to name a few items from the menu, Service was outstanding and there was a mix... We rented some bicycles from here. $30 NZD per day. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. We had some beer and pizza later that evening and the food was great. Seemed like a local pub with the rugby game on the TV. Friendly bar staff. Nice patio seating area as well. Good food. Great beer! Renaissance Beer on tap... More

Everything you think of when you think of an English pub, an excellent selection of beers on tap, tasty food, big wooden tables, and excellent comfort food. Had the fish and chips, which was incredible. Raves from my husband and dad for the pies.

Forty odd people for lunch, the staff did really well in catering for us. The meals were good and service excellent.

There was a 2 for 1 pizza offer (Thursday nights) and the pizza was tasty but the food took close to an hour to arrive, including an order of chips that was only brought out with the pizzas. Local wines available by the glass. Wouldn't recommend if you're hungry due to the long wait without any food.

Really great night tonight. I won a meat tray. Lamb shanks are great, you can get away with ordering one. Old mate behind the bar drove us home, a bit cagey about his name... It's not mike.. Could be Aaron. Too fooken riought.

From a recommendation of our wine tour guide she said if we can get here they will give you a lift home. Brilliant! If I owned a bar I would also do this as a service to my customers. Also has great food and atmosphere
