Ate here two nights and food was fabulous. Service good and ambiance nice. Both couples and families welcome. Big room and although full , was quiet. Breakfast in same room - great selection from Buffet menu. Missed not having barista coffee option.
The meals were ridiculously priced and tiny! They also lacked flavour. The staff were friendly enough though and the presentation of the meals and the dining area was excellent

We stayed at the Chateau Tongariro Hotel and enjoyed breakfast & dinner at the Ruapehu Restaurant. Breakfast was included with our hotel lodging. Good selections for both breakfast and dinner. Lovely setting....old world charm....thoroughly enjoyed our visit here.
