Never going back & making sure to tell people the staff will answer you back tell you that you the customers are wrong, which we all know you should... More

I am a local and have had many pleasant outings to this wonderfully situated cafe over the years. It has been deteriorating slowly with the (seemingly) constant change in personnel but my recent experience means I won't be going back for a while. We sat outside as it was a sunny day and it's a great place to sit. My... More

It's like the owners have no clue what they are doing. There is no atmosphere or character left in the place following a really dismal "refurb". As a local, I can't bear to set foot in there as the service is awful, the food terrible and the ambiance non existent. Such an awesome location with a welcoming crowd of punters... More

Hi, my partner and I visited the Maraetai Wharf Cafe. We ordered Burgers and what a surprise, they were huge and tasty. The staff was friendly and the lookout to the wharf was stunning. There are some smaller beaches around Maraetai which offered us some relaxing time. The beaches are not overcrowded, and I would recommend this location anytime.

The cafe has a great location overlooking the water to Waiheke Island. A nice spot to stop on a sunny day. However, choose carefully from the menu. Avoid the steak sandwich. A cheap steak on a piece of untoasted bread taken out of a bag from the supermarket. The meal was smothered in a dressing that overpowered every thing else.... More

My father and I had originally intended to eat down the road at Bachn cafe. Upon arrival we found the kitchen to be closed and so we ventured to the Maraetai Wharf Cafe. The staff were friendly and the chicken burrito that I ordered was delicious, as was the spinach and mushroom filo of my father. I highly recommend this... More

Maraetai Beach is a popular destination for those taking a weekend drive on the lovely East Auckland Pohutukawa Coast. The Maraetai Wharf Café is in the perfect position to be a well patronised brunch and lunch stop; a great place for tea and coffee - and the supplier of fish and chips for dinner on the beach. The two of... More

I ordered a chicken bacon potato cake and when I started eating it, it tasted rotten. I had to spit it out. When it was brought to the attention of the waiter, nothing was done, or said by management, so we left. Won't be back.
