Super tasty food, especially the fettucine with pesto and prawns! Dante and Manuel are friendly and interesting to talk to. We went back three times during our stay in Montanita.

This was a truly poor experience ! The only acceptable aspect was the service / waiter ..! 1 prawns covered in white sauce then placed under the grill = tasteless , white sauce stodgy and warm not hot 2 mixed seafood starter = just ok...3 cannelloni = totally did not even look like !! Just a bowl of mush and melted cheese , flavor just ok .. aspect terrible 4 ravioli with ham and cheese = we asked for ALFREDO SAUCE !! Everywhere in the world to me that has been a simple white creamy sauce , here it was with chicken 🤷🏽…and so dry 🆘 Honest truth !! They better start improving and getting the food back to the quality it was previously known for !More
i can say is one of the few decent place to eat in MOntanita, very clean, they are following all the covid rules, the waitres and cookers wear mask, other places not. After a little scary experiance un Tikilimbo restaurant where the waitres where not...wearing mask, we went to Pigro, the food was good, the service goosd and they have good wine selection.More
We decided to go to this restaurant based on your reviews, most of which gave it four stars but it was disappointing. We ordered the eggplant parmigiana as an entree and then a pasta frutti di mare and seafood caneloni. Only the eggplant parmigiana was...acceptable. The place is cozy, though but I would recommend go somewhere else. It’s expensive and even though we told the waiter the dishes were not good and we left them almost untouched, we had to pay the full price for them. Oh, their sangria is good, too.More
I ate alone the first y in me I visited Piggro, and brought homefettiucine primavera (off the menu) for my wife. My dorado with salad and a pasta/pesto side were excellent; my wife's fettucine witb lots of fresh steamed vegetables in an alfredo sauce was...superb. We returned again with the Montañita Spanish School class (about 20) and everyone raved about the food.More
The best Italian restaurant in Mantanita. We would definitely return again I had spaghetti arrabiata which was delicious stayed close by at 5 minutes at dharma hotel.
We have visited this place twice now. The first time in November and second time in the beginning of January. The first time we really liked it which is why we went back a second time. When we went the second time the guy informed...us that the menu changed. Our Spanish is not that good and they used to have an English menu which they got rid of once they changed the menu. When we asked for the English menu he said he didn’t have one and we were surprised and told him that he used to have one and he replied by saying yes but we are in Ecuador. We thought this was rude but we liked the food last time so decided to order anyways. I ordered ravioli which was maybe 8 pieces of ravioli for $15 and not tasty at all. In short, would not go back. Owner/server rude and does not care about customer service, and food is now over priced and not even tasty. There are many good places to eat in Montanita and this is not one of them anymore.More
We loved this restaurant. The service is excellent and the food delicious. The servers were very courteous and loved their coffee presentation. I enjoy my animal crackers with my mocha!
The staff and the food were outstanding! We had the Caprese Salad and the Black Seafood Risotto! Both fantastic!!!
Arrived late and ate here our first night. The food was great and the staff were so friendly! It was a great stop after a long bus ride.
Best Italian food we’ve had outside of Italy. The service was really good, the dill oil that they give you with the bread is unreal. The house red is also delicious. We ate here 2/4 nights we had in Montanita (the third night we felt...compelled to at least try somewhere else and the fourth night it wasn’t open, I guess because of low season). Thoroughly recommend.More
I usually don't do reviews of restaurants but this place openly advertises its Trip Advisor certificate of excellence. I ate here my first night in Montanita. Despite the upscale decor, I thought the prices were very reasonable as my Chicken Fettuccine cost only $10 USD....I was also provided with unlimited free bread which is rare in restaurants in less developed countries. As for the quality of the food, I thought it was better than expected. I would rate it higher than Olive Garden, a chain Italian restaurant in the US. I will probably go back again to try something else but I can say that my first experience was a good one.More
We ate here 3 times during our stay in Olon. We enjoyed all our entrees. The Caprese was very good, the spaghetti bolognese was also very good. The real STANDOUT was the eggplant appetizer! Just plain delicious.
I stopped in here, looking for a change of menu. I had the Fettucini with chicken and mushrooms and enjoyed it. Nice folks, friendly atmosphere, I would go back!
The pasta was better than expected! The carbonara was ok and the arrabiata was really good. We tried a caprese as a starter, the mozzarella was not good. It is the kind of mozzarella you use on pizzas. Not eating directly! Service was good aswell,...would recommend!More
