Patio nestled in tree abuzz with hummingbirds. Service slow but courteous. Trout was gigantic and deliciously prepared.

The setting--by the flowing river--and the décor/ambiance of this place are really fantastic. But, the food was merely okay and not particularly flavorful and the service was a bit disorganized (had a difficult time ordering of all things a diet soft drink or ice tea). If you have plenty of time and are looking mostly for a relaxing vibe rather... More

We went to the dragonfly inn restaurant three times during our stay in Mindo. The food was very good. I had the steak on the rock, nachos, pork chop with sauce. My kids had the fajitas and french fries with melted cheese. Everyone was happy with your food!!!

This small wooden Inn the heart of Mindo is a beautiful place to eat and stay. It's a little pricy compared to other restaurants in the ares, but the quality is good. The back eating area is particularly pretty with a stream and hummingbird feeders. There are a variety of hummingbirds in Mindo for those of us who love birds.

The food is great and portions are so large that you could easily split them. It is expensive, especially for Ecuador, but a good deal if you split something. I am a big eater and could not finish my meal. The service is not very good, but not a big deal.

I stayed here and had two meals -- dinner and breakfast. The steak on the rock was recommended and fantastic. Breakfast was very good and healthy, too.

We liked the place and decided to stop by for lunch hoping to get local food. I worked in the catering business around Europe and I can say that the Dragonfly inn menu and prices are the same. We got nachos and sandwiches. The nachos tasted like the crisp we usually buy in a shop and the sandwiches on the... More

We weren't feeling very hungry and opted for some light meals: soup of the day and a bagel. Everything was very tasty. Only remark is that our 3 dishes weren't served at the same time.

The place is the restaurant of the Dragonfly hotel. It's located near the river and they have nice and relaxing semi outdoors tables. It has a very good selection of dishes in the menu. Ordered seafood pasta and mushroom pasta. Both were very good. They have local craft beer a little bit more expensive that the common Pilsener (Ecuador beer).... More

We stopped in for lunch between hikes. It was absolutely yummy. Great soup (an Ecuadoran staple) followed by delicious entrees for us all. And several hummingbird feeders around the outdoor seating area meant many fun to watch guests joined us.

Description
Our spacious and bright restaurant is divided in two parts. The front is overlooking the main street of Mindo, and the back is located on a covered terrace right next to the flowing river.

A la carte is offered 7 days a week, with a wide variety of national and international dishes.

We also serve a typical "Almuerzo" daily, which is a set 3 course lunch made to the Ecuadorian taste.

We are trying our best to be as organic as possible, and to keep the impact of our kitchen on nature as low as possible. You will not find straws, to go containers or disposable bottles. Our commitment is to leave this world a bit cleaner every day.

Also in our front restaurant area, you can find fine chocolates, coffee and other crafts to take home as presents or for your sweet treat sitting on the balcony.

Reservations for groups are welcome, we can serve a la carte or make a special set lunch/dinner tailored to your needs.

We accept MasterCard and Visa for your restaurant bill or gift shopping
