I’ve been eating at this restaurant for the past three years at least twice per week. I always get the same meal, grilled haddock, bake beans and home fries. The place is super clean and everyone from customers to staff are incredibly friendly. This is a little gem that I highly recommend.

A great spot for a delicious and reasonably priced breakfast or lunch. The owner is personable and very accommodating, knows you by name.

After a brisk winter walk around Sassaquin Pond in New Bedford, we decided to stop for a coffee at Little Phoenix. Having never been there before we were very surprised to see how busy it was at around 9 in the morning. The smell of fresh baked cheese rolls got to us so we added a couple to our coffee order. This place has the bet cheese rolls in the area. Their breakfasts looked amazing, service was very good, place was warm & cozy, with a neighborhood clientele that probably has breakfast there every day. Prices for lunch were only in the 7-8 dollar range for things like meatloaf, pot roast, fish etc. Give this place a try you won't be sorry.

Very local restaurant. GREAT food, great atmosphere.
Be prepared to help yourself to coffee (or one of the other guest may simply help you if you don't know the routine).
Ask for any thing you want--it turns out there a lot of off menu items. One guest shared his photo of steak, eggs benedict, grilled asparagus--we totally look forward to ordering that.
My husband and i ordered omelets-he asked for his soft. Despite a busy morning, the eggs were cooked perfectly. Perfect.

Under new ownership since I have been back and we ordered the basic bacon, egg, home fries and toast with coffee. Place was pretty full with only one cook and orders were being taken from the regulars before ours was taken so it was about 45 minutes between ordering our food and receiving it. They ran out of rye and pumpernickel breads. A month ago my friend had egg shells in his omelet. I may go back, someday, no rush.
