My family and some friends took a ride from Rhode Island to New Bedford for the day. After taking a walk on the hurricane barrier we were hungry. We consulted our phones and came up with the Cove as the place to get lunch. The...staff was very welcoming and you could tell that they enjoying their job. The COVID precautions were more elaborate than any I have seen anywhere else. When the food came it was fantastic. The BEST (and highest) cheeseburger I ever saw. It was great. My wife loved her lobster roll and the rest of the party all ate too much. Don’t forget to try the clam cakes . Clam in every bite.More

atmosphere excellent, waitress excellent, fish and chips excellent, fried clams NOT SO MUCH. Suppose to be "belly" clams. Not a belly in site. This soft shell clam was best suited for the clam boil they have on the menu, NOT passed off as a "fried" clam....At $30 for the clams i was disappointed to say the least The cook should have known better. Too bad, I really wanted to like the place, but being a fair person I'll give them another shot, but sadly can't recommend the "belly" clamsMore

Stumbled upon Cove, and so happy we did. When back in the NB area we will definitely return. After a long hot day working in the area, we wanted some seafood, and if it could have a Portuguese spin to it, all the better. Stopped...at one place, which was a bit too snooty - we were not looking for a fancy meal in a take out carton. Stopped at another place which we quickly left - dark, not very clean. Then we found Cove. Such friendly staff! Answered our questions, made suggestions. We were not disappointed in the food. Although I've not often had a bad clam cake, Cove's were some of the best we've had - good clam taste and texture. The small fish and chip plate (they have 3 sizes to choose from) was the perfect size for what we wanted, and the fish done perfectly, and the fries tasty. The haddock Mozambique was delicious and exactly what I was looking for that eve. I could have had a bit more haddock in it, but for the price I was satisfied and the taste was absolutely wonderful. THANK YOU Cove staff, and congrats on such a great neighborhood place and working through Covid challenges.More

These were some of the best clam cakes we've had. Unlike many restaurants that just flavor the cakes with clam juice, these had pieces of clams and great flavor. And the full belly clams were done just right. In these Covid-19 days a reservation is...necessary, but the tables are nicely spread far apart and staff appropriately masked.More

ordered the baked stuffed shrimp tonight with a stuffed potato $3.00 extra and a salad $2.00 extra even though it came with 2 sides. I do not leave reviews unless it was very very bad or very very good, this was terrible. I will never...order anything from them again, the salad that cost $2.00 extra had no dressing and was virtual lettuce with a little onion and small cut of tomato, who eats a salad without dressing? So I tossed it. The stuffed baked potato had a lot of cheese but tasted awful, so I tossed it. The shrimp was so bad that I cannot even believe that they sell it with that stuffing, it must be something people order though or they would not sell it, let me just say it was not to my taste so I tossed it. Ended up being $33 worth of food that Gotchew delivered that sucked big time, DO NOT ORDER THE BAKED STUFFED SHRIMP, you will regret it.More

Food is always fresh and delicious. Place is always friendly and clean. Delivery is incredible. Make sure you order direct. Only once was my food not perfect and I believe it is because one of the other delivery companies handled the order and Did not...give the food the care they are known for. This is one of the few places I have trouble ordering from because I do not have a favorite item. Everything is so good. Also don’t forget to try one of their deserts.More

The seafood here is always fresh. Portions are generous. A little pricey for a during the week take out. It was a nice treat for the family.

This is such a great place, will return again. I used trip advisor to recommend a seafood place in New B, and very happily surprised with this restaurant. Very cute ambiance and nautical theme...super friendly and knowledgeable staff, and nice choice of meals-including kids menu....Everyone enjoyed their authentic and fresh fish and chips...I loved my clam strips—not gummy, chewy or filled with filler like other places that shall remain nameless. We really wanted to try the desserts but the portions were huge. Maybe next time. Highlight for the kiddo was finishing her “mocktail “ called a FishBowl -blue, bubbly (sprite?) and full of various candies-including gummy sharks and worms. All in all, a great place for a family meal or going out with friendsMore

They have the full menu with prices online, I can't post a link on here, I live in Quincy but travel there for the prices and quality, you won't be disappointed.
