We enjoyed a late lunch today. I ordered the Chicken Apple Panini with a side of pear, walnut, blue cheese salad. They were both delicious. Service was great, view was awesome. I'd go back!

Had a simple dinner of lobster rolls and salad. Both were delicious. Have eaten at Lane’s several times when visiting Nova Scotia and have never been disappointed by the food. The place was crowded and a little noisy--it was, after all, a Friday night at the height of the tourist season, but the service was good, and our waiter was... More

Dinner here was not as good as we had been told it would be. The dining room was dark and noisy, the service somewhat indifferent. My entrée was not what I had ordered and led to one of those meals where your dining companion either eats before you or his food gets cold.

I stayed here for 8 days, and I ate the majority of meals in the restaurant, I had breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner in the restaurant and ordered three take out meals. My room had a queen bed which was very comfortable. The room faced the harbor, so I enjoyed a good view and cool breezes. On Friday night, the dinner restaurant... More

Had a great time at Lane's Privateer Inn. They had live music the night we were there and we loved it. The fish and chips as well as the nachos were delicious. The staff was very attentive and friendly! Would highly recommend eating and staying here!

We were visiting in Liverpool and had asked at one of the establishments where there was a good place to have lunch. We were told Lanes was the 'best' place to eat in town, in their mind. We decided to try it and was not disappointed. The service was good, the food was an experience. I figured our meals both... More

Found Lane's via TripAdvisor, and on the website saw the option of having a picnic delivered to the local lighthouse. What a complete delight! The picnic comes in a gorgeous hand-made picnic box and packed up was a three-course lunch - sandwiches, salad and dessert, and awesome blueberry lemonade in Mason jars to boot. The bread was notably good, and... More

I was hesitant to come here because I thought it was a typical "upscale pub with bad food". Boy, was I wrong! Both times we have been here, we had exceptional food!!!! The haddock is extremely fresh and they have some great local cheese and meats. The haddock burger is SO GOOD!! Seriously. So, my thoughts on Lane's has changed... More
