By far the best dinner we have had in our 3 nights in Natchez. We started off with crab cake (shareable, it’s was huge), cup of gumbo, and we both had the fried catfish topped with crawfish etouffee. 😋 If it helps we are from...New Orleans, so it takes a lot to please us when we are out of town knowing that other places really don’t have it when it comes to flavoring! Service was great as well! We will definitely eat back! I am sorry I didn’t take pictures!More

Ok, so the meal was just fine. The service comfortable and efficient. The view is simply amazing, maybe the best view from a restaurant in the Gulf South, when you add up what been seen 'viewed' over 300 years from this bluff-top. Yeah, the cocktail...and conversation over the view made for a very nice dinner.More

We arrived at The Pilot House Restaurant and was seated at a table so dimly lit a person needed a flashlight to read the menu. The wait staff brought our appetizers and entree at the same time then came out with the soup. The red...fish was overcooked, the other food was mediocre at best. When the bill came we had been charged for two bottles of wine instead of two glasses. This mistake was brought to the attention of the wait staff and then she was not sure how to correct the mistake. We noticed that three other tables had issues as well.More

We attempted to contact and person answered phone early in day, located at the hotel and was considered excellent by our Concierge. Called them and they promptly said they would call us back. No response after three hours. So, we instead dined at the Magnolia...Grill under the hill in Natchez.More

Great food and views. Would have been a 5 star but the service is sub-par. Servers seem to be lost and not well trained. Gave it 4 stars because of the food. They have a wonderful chef. Will definitely try again.

My husband and I were given a gift certificate. I must say for 17$ each, we got one piece of fish, french fries and tarter sauce. The fish was the worst I've ever had. They need to focus on their food and not so much...on the view you have of the river...which at night you cannot see much of the view. Much needed improvement on your Food!More

Went with friends to this in-hotel restaurant. Good news, the views from the store of the Mississippi were really cool. Unfortunately, they had a very limited menu due to the local balloon festival. More unfortunate, I ordered the fried catfish fillet on etouffee. Now, I've...eaten my share of etouffee. Normally the dish bursts with flavor. The catfish was ok, The etoufee was dismal, sorry to say. Server was a good guy. All said though I wouldn't likely go back.More

After reviewing several restaurants and studying their menus, we chose Pilot House. We made reservations using Open Table. We were so surprised to get there and be given a very limited menu. We asked the server if these were just the specials or the full...menu. She informed us that this was their full menu for the special hot air balloon weekend. I’m sorry, but to only offer 4 or 5 entrees after advertising a much larger selection was a huge disappointment. We excused ourselves and went to another local restaurant which had been our second choice. I will say the river view was nice but not worth the limited food selection.More

What a View! We enjoyed the sunset overlooking the river. We had a great server. Catfish was good. Duck with Brussel Sprouts outstanding! Yes, even the Brussel Sprouts were outstanding. Pecan Pie with Sweet Potato Ice Cream.... Oh yea! Go! You will not be disappointed.

First, we were staying at the hotel and it was convienent to eat here. The host/waiter was first rate and the service was great. You can not beat the view and the atmosphere all these things were great. My veal was lucky to be on...a bed of noodles so it did not drown. The fish was not as lucky. Both were over cooked for our taste. All that said, we will try it again and get something not fried. They were great with the celiac requirements.More
