Buckeye Roadhouse is one of my new favourites. Your dining experience starts with the complimentary valet parking. The parking attendant, on realising it was our first visit, happily gave us a rundown of this historic establishment (opened in 1937 as a hunting lodge), followed by recommendations on the wonderful menu. Highlights being the speciality woodsmoked items, smoked in the huge... More

You've passed it by, as you zoom along US 101 at 75 mph, and why is that it always seems to be packed with cars, you make a mental note? Well, here's why: it's marvelous! I'm a foodie first this place does it right. The sticker shock FOR LUNCH was $165, for two. With a total of three glasses of... More

I have been going there since it opened and have never been disappointed. Outstanding American cuisine, even calves liver, meatloaf, etc at reasonable prices.

Nice, warm atmosphere. Good service. Excellent food. Try the brick chicken! Nice bar to start with or hang out in. Sit by the fireplace if you can - or by a window in the daytime.

My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant and we had a wonderful experience from the food to the service. First course was the seared Ahi Tuna, it was delicious. The salad was a Kale, Mint and Goat Cheese, really good and the Main Courses were Scallops for me and Grilled Salmon for my husband, again fantastic. Dessert was... More

Came with friends for a birthday dinner. The BR is dependently very good comfort food, and the ribs are great. On this evening, there were some misses. The deservedly famous crispy onion rings ($9.75)--we ordered 2 for the table--were soggy. The caesar salad was very forgettable ($10.75). Wasn't fond of the maple mashed yams that came with the ribs--very little... More

The Buckeye has been our "go to" restaurant for special celebrations. We have been going for years and the food is always wonderful. Great service! We like Oyster Bingo, Crispy Onion Rings and Seared Sesame Sprinkled Ahí Tuna for appetizers, Organic butter lettuce salad and one of my favorites Smoke Beef Brisket. Other favorites are the Bacon Wrapped Petit Filet... More

Do not miss stopping here if you are in the area. The food is always spot on and whether you sit in the bar or in the dining room, the atmosphere is warm and friendly. They also have an excellent wine list. I am a food snob and I give this place an A+.

My family can't get enough of the grilled artichoke appetizers. They cut them in half, par-boil them, then refrigerate them while marinating in garlic, spices, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Then they grill them. Too good for us to pass up! We always enjoy something grilled for our main course as well. And the kids always get the s'mores pie... More
