Everything fine, cozy atmosphere, friendly servers. But there's just something missing in the food at these prices (mid-high range). Cesar salad uninteresting - no zing. Seafood risotto lacks spark, mushy shrimp. Pizza from wood-burning oven sounds great, but bland flavors. Diced peppers strewn all over many plates - enough already!

Had dinner here with my wife and the craving for authentic Italian food was very well treated. The prawn appetizer was rich, fresh & succulent. Mains were awesome too, lasagne with an amazing sauce was very rich & heavy but perfect. Linguine and meatballs was delicious too, we shared them both and if I went again I'd likely order an... We should have known it would be hard to find a table anywhere in Marin County on a Saturday night in summer without reservations. After strolling around the cute little town of Mill Valley, where we were staying in an Airbnb apartment, we took our chances in this packed and popular Italian eatery, finding an unoccupied stool at the bar... Mill Valley is an expensive town, but amazingly Vasco is not an expensive restaurant. located right on the main square, Vasco serves a nice variety of dishes and all are reasonably priced. The service is very attentive and well done. The fish stew, similar to cioppino, was half the price of restaurants in San Francisco. While it's a long way... More

Reasonably priced good italian food. Always friendly. Not a huge restaurant and can get a bit noisy. However, the food is always good, as is the service.

Loved this little local place right in the heart of the Mill Valley town square. So many great choices on the menu it was hard to decide. The chicken parm was one of the best I've ever had, and if you want authentic real Italian food in a fun, friendly, intimate setting this restaurant cannot be beat. Reasonable prices too.... More

Good service, good food, good wine. All the Italian classics. The best pizza in the area, the secret is in the crust plus the other fresh ingredients and the brick oven. I guarantee no crust will be left on your plate, be careful not to bite your fingers. Make reservation, this place is always busy.

Ate there last night with friends. The BBQ beef short rib was one of the best, if not the best beef dishes I've ever had. We all shared bites so I can attest that the salmon. the swordfish, the chicken piccata were all exceptional. Owner Paul selected our bottle of wine, a superlative, jammy zin, that heartily enhanced our dining... More

The moment you walk into the restaurant you feel it's alive with locals and those of us from outside the area who have driven from Sonoma County over the past 15 years foe an excellent meal, service, and a warm, family welcome from the owner, Paul. The quality of food has been consistently excellent over the years and have always... More

"It was a dark and stormy night" . . . but the purple prose will end there. We selected Vasco because of TA reviews and very importantly because it was only a block from our hotel on a blustery and very wet night. We're glad we made the mad dash. As it seems everyone has said, Vasco is a great... More
