Didn't enjoy the food but service was excellent

I visited this restaurant with my family on a Saturday afternoon for my Grandfather's birthday. It's a beautiful restaurant but it seemed very cramped and was difficult for my Grandparents to move around. My grandparents also didn't like the fact that you had to approach the food counter to look at... read more

Had lunch here on Friday and was amazed , quality fast service ,excellent atmosphere and the food where do you start . Could easily spend an hour looking through the stunning menu and when you decide and the food arrives , it will surpass what you thought it would be . Had the scallops as a starter and Sirloin steak... More

Whilst the food at El Puerto is nice, the staff certainly need training in service and attitude. It is some while since our last visit, so I needed to enquire what the lunch menu comprised. There is a two course, starter and main, fixed price on offer. Asking if the fish could be grilled not deep fried, I was brusquely... More

This place is a little gem. Staff know exactly how to treat and serve you. Nothing ever to much trouble. My steak was fine to perfection and my husbands Dover sole stunning.

The proprietor has several restaurants and most have the system whereby you choose your own food from the large counters and they prepare your meal. I have dined at a number of their eateries past and present. When I am dining in the Cardiff area I usually choose sea food. For starters I had the jumbo prawns with an excellent... More

Telephoned at lunchtime booking a table for 8pm.when we arrived place was packed, we said we'd booked a table but this ignored. They didn't even refer to the reservation diary. Told us to go to the bar and have a drink for "five or ten minutes" whilst our table was prepared. At the bar were about20 other people waiting for... More

One of my very locals. Stunning meal as always. Very busy but you always get greeted well, and the steaks are stunning.. Keep up the good work.

Over Xmas & the New Year the Wife & I have enjoyed 3 visits. My son-in-law hosted a family celebration for nine of us & despite the nine all having different choices amazingly all 9 main courses arrived at the same time! Next time I choose the excellent Brill I hope they can serve it on the bone.
