My husband and I came into town for the night and thoroughly enjoyed our stop. The bartender, Stephanie was so friendly and engaging. The locals were really enjoyable and the food was really good! Highly recommend!!
We were looking forward to pizza with family after a day at Mt. Rainier. The place has a dive bar atmosphere with three types of flooring. We ordered a cheese for the kids and a Supreme with hamburger instead of sausage/ half canadian bacon and...olive. Also a side of tomatoes. Instead we got no sausage, no hamburger and no tomatoes. They are skimpy on the meat and sauce but extremely generous on all the veggies. The crust was delicious as well as my hot chocolate. The waitresses are very nice and friendly.More
We hiked around Mount Rainier for a few days and had the chance to try a few of the restaurants. This looks like a fun bar, but the food wasn’t good. We didn’t finish the wings (one of the worst wings I’ve ever had). Our...burgers were just average. With a few other places in town, I recommend skipping this one.More
We ate here 3 times over the course of a weekend we stayed in Ashford visiting Mt. Rainier.
Definitely not fast kitchen service, but it's a small town and we understood the pace would be different. Feels like a lot of locals spend time here....Really straightforward menu with a mix of burgers, salads, soups, pizzas and steaks.
We also had a few mix-ups with service; bringing out baked potato instead of mashed potatoes; forgetting an extra piece of chicken that was paid for etc. Overall we were satisfied with eating decent meals here after long days of hiking. Oh btw- the pancakes are GIANT. Literally the size of a full pan.
As other reviews mentioned it does have more of a bar vibe, but there is a dining area that is a bit separated from the bar and would be fine for children in my opinion.More
There aren't a lot of options in this area, and this was closest to where we were staying. It is basically a sports bar. Not sure about the steakhouse claim. There were only 2 servers for the bar AND restaurant area. When we arrived, it...wasn't too crowded, but still took a while for our order to be taken. Then, as it got closer to dinner, it got very crowded and the poor servers just couldn't keep up. I don't blame them for the slow service, as they were doing the best they could. There appeared to be 2 cooks, but one left for about 30 minutes, so that didn't help matters much either. We ordered pizza and it was just 'ok'. We each ordered a different soft drink and were told they were out of both kinds. At first she said, "we don't have that" and I said it was on the menu. Then she amended it to they were out of it. Apparently, they have been out of it for a while! Our server never came back over to see if we wanted any beverage refills (we did). We were in the area for another nite, but opted not to return here again.More
They advertise as a steakhouse but we didn't observe the claim. This is a local bar, plain and simple. It was close to the resort we were staying at and we enjoyed our onion rings, but burgers were just OK.
Stopped here after seeing long wait at other restaurants. Food was OK but understaffed service was poor. Clam chowder a solid choice. Ambience of a mountain biker bar / sports bar / family cafe. Great for watching football and baseball.
We stopped in here for a late breakfast and the waitress was extremely friendly and talkative. The food was also not bad and we both enjoyed the homemade biscuits and blackberry jam. The downside is that this place is more of a bar than a...restaurant and that ambiance attracts different people groups. While we were eating there was a group chatting and then yelling profanities at each other and it did not provide for a family-friendly ambiance. My wife also said the bathrooms were not on the clean side...More
