We ate here one night in early Oct.. Owned and operated by a former Everest sherpa, the restaurant offered a “traditional American mountain menu along with our authentic Sherpa-Himalayan cuisine of Nepal.” The owner of the restaurant is an authentic Sherpa guide who holds the...world speed record on Mount Everest, climbing from base camp to the summit in just 10 hours, 56 minutes, and 46 seconds, on May 26, 2003. He has reached the summit of Everest fifteen times. An exhibit with some of the gear used in mountain climbing is on display. There was hand sanitizer at the entry door and patrons were asked to use it. Tables were spaced appropriately for safety, and the staff was masked. The authentic dishes sounded interesting, but we weren’t that hungry, so my husband ordered a chicken burger, and I had a Greek salad. Oil and vinegar were brought to the table for me to add; I never could get the right mixture and wish a pre-mixed dressing had been offered. I believe we ate here in 2006 on another trip to Mt. Rainier NP. It was Mother’s Day, and my meal was free. Funny what a person remembers! Bill with one beer, tax, and tip came to $40.More

It seemed odd there was Himalayan food at first. Then I realized with all the people who climb Mt. Rainier and come to train to climb Everest it made total sense. We enjoyed the food and found it quite tasty. Chicken Thali and pork momo....The pork is quite similar to pot stickers. Very good. They show it as an entree. i would not want all them as my entree alone. We shared the 2 dishes and it was perfect mix of food. Enjoy.More

We stopped in here for dinner after hiking in Mt. Rainier. The staff is very friendly and they all used to be sherpas on Mt. Everest! My husband had the lamb gyro and I had the Chicken Thali...both were very good. Most people seem to...order the typical American fare but the authentic Himalyan food is well worth a try. They also have delicious pie! We ate outside and everything was very clean and safely spaced. I highly recommend you dine here.More

Thoroughly enjoyed every bite of our meal! Chicken Thali was so good and very filling! Also would recommend the pork momo. Efficient service and comfortable spacing for outdoor dining! Took the marionberry pie and ice cream to go and can hardly wait to dig in!...Great restaurant and look forward to another visit!More

Staying at National Park Inn. Restaurant prices were ridiculous so we went outside the park and found Wildberry. The staff was very friendly and the food was good.

The best! The food was great, and the service was excellent! I will be going back every time I visit the area. The atmosphere was very nice and reminded me of the mountains in Nepal.

Loved their Himalayan Thali! Finished the meal with pie...I had blueberry and it was delicious, my husband had the blackberry and said he could have eaten the entire pie. Great service!

Highly, highly recommend. Try the Himalayan entrees, you will not be disappointed. Also, the bread that came with it was some of the best my wife and I have ever had. Blackberry pie was the perfect way to finish. Wild Berry truly added a lot...to our Mt Rainier trip.More

We stopped at Wildberry after a long day hiking Mt Rainier - hungry, sore, tired. attentive, very niceThe chicken thali hit the spot (great cabbage salad and dhal and roti) My partner had moma, which had a great sauce. We shared pappadam. All the food...was terrific. Tasty, came out fast, ample but not excessive portions - we cleaned our plates. Except we needed to take a slice of marrionberry pie for the road. But the real stars are the staff - very nice, quick to see that the water glass needed refill or ask about another beer. Price was moderate and totally fair. Highly recommendedMore
