Fabulous food in terms of quality and variety. Hard to find a table when busy but worth the wait. Nice because you can have anything from a light snack to a full 3 course meal.

I had lunch there will a group of friends and the service and food totally surpassed my expectations. They way the hotel has been extended is in keeping with the roots of its coaching inn heritage. The wine selection is second to none. Well done all at the moat house keep up the great work

It really does beg belief that on the Outskirts of Stafford sits one of the best tasting menus i've ever experienced. Not too fancy, not loads of small amuse bouches just well proportioned servings of great combinations of flavours and textures! If you want that Michelin Star experience but don't want the hour drive to Birmingham and inflated price tags... More

An absolutely lovely setting, with delicious food. We had a selection of sandwiches, which were freshly made , scones with jam and cream, lemon tarts, mini Victoria sandwiches and a macaroon. There was a large variety of teas to choose from, they were explained to us and our selection was bought to the table. The teapot held approx 2 cups... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your afternoon tea experience. I am pleased to read that you enjoyed the food, but I'm disappointed to learn about your wait to be seated and that you thought Marie was cool with you. Unfortunately on occasion with afternoon tea the table may not be ready if the previous customers from lunch... More

We went on a Saturday night to try the Gourmet Menu. The whole experience was absolutely faultless, from the service to the environment to the food. The website gives a sample menu but does not tell you that there are some extras too, such as a 'pre-dessert', a small soup before the starter etc. The vegetarian choices are inspired and... More

Booked a table for my finance's birthday in the bar as the menu was better suited than the conservatory (restaurant). Quite highly priced pub grub to be honest. I can't say I found fault with any of the meals but the truth is its overpriced as it's just normal pub grub. Ambiance was lacking and the service was just okay;... More

Thank you for taking the time to review your recent visit. I'm sorry that you found our food to be over priced. Our lounge bar serves gastro pub style food and is situated in a 4 star hotel, I am sorry if you feel these factors do not justify our prices. I have noted your comments regarding the ambiance and... My husband booked a meal in The Orangery for our Wedding Anniversary. We had the set menu and was not disappointed. Food was delicious and staff were friendly and well trained. Would definitely recommend for a special occasion.
