I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at this restaurant. I had the brie quesadillas as my starter, which were really rather tasty. I had the Cuban curry as my main course, which was quite delicious and of a decent size. Lastly, I had the caramel waffle for my dessert, which was exceptionally good. The restaurant itself was clean, tidy, and comfortable,... More

Went out with friends for dinner, food excellent and very reasonable. It's a small restaurant and they have not over filled it so really nice atmosphere.

Visited with two friends for an early supper. Portion sizes were just right for us but there's no way we could have managed dessert having had a main course each and shared a couple of starters. Dishes well seasoned with just the right amount of spice. Speedy service but not rushed. Really friendly staff.

Great mexican food. Catered nicely for vegetarians. Phenomenal waffle with ice cream and toffee!! Fajitas and the Cuban Chilli were great as was the mexican coffee. Would highly recommend.

My partner and I chose to eat at the Prickly Pear early on a Saturday evening before meeting friends and on the whole were not disappointed. The setting and service, throughout, were excellent and very friendly. The menu was refreshingly brief and had lots of potential choices for us both. I have to say that the prices might be a... Stopped for a walk round Bishops Stortford and felt peckish. Asked a young gent if he knew of some place nice to eat and he recommended an Italian and Prickly Bear. Doesn't look much from outside but the inside is a different matter in terms of decor, service and food. 2 staff on and both very helpful and friendly. Food... More

I went to this little place last week with my girlfriend for dinner. It's a great little Mexican-American option. It's a small restaurant but really quite cosy. There's a good choice of cocktails and beers, and the prices of both the drinks and food on the menu are really reasonable. We ordered a few sharers and mains just to share... More

We went to the Prickly Pear for a work holiday party and the Prickly Pear was very accommodating. They gave us a set menu ahead of time but accepted adjustments when we arrived. The food was amazing and affordable. Would recommend to anyone in the stortford area.

Ted Mex with a twist then go here. Awesome food great drinks and a cut above the chain food shizzle. Highly recommend. Nick was a great host and chef, in no doubt this is a gem in Stortfords mediocre chain food eateries.
