Lovely fish, chips and mushy peas, round the corner from our holiday cottage. Some people drive to car park next to lay by. Favourite with the locals. Be prepared to queue and wait a little while.

Great fish and chips served by a friendly couple in their van located overlooking the sea at Portscatho. They are there from 5 to 8 on Friday and Saturday evenings.

You can get fish and chips from the Atlantic fryer van in the layby at Porthcurnick beach. It's worth checking the website to find out which day the van is there if you are staying in Portscatho.

I waited a long time to be served because of a large queue. The lady taking the orders was friendly and had a smile and a few words for everyone which is nice. The fish was very nice but a little spoilt by the spongy batter around it. The chips were OK but some of them were a mix of... More

Obviously popular was a long queue, but no wonder as the food was outstanding, good portion sizes and good prices. A shame they didn't come by more often!

It was a joy to find this van at the end of the road on which we were staying for the week on the evening we arrived so we went straight to it before unpacking to buy some good old fashioned fish and chips. It was busy but this not affect the quaility nor the friendliness of the people on... More

Arrived late and famished on a Friday night in Portscatho. Spotted the frier parked by car park and thought "OMG possible food salvation". It was better than salvation. Despite being two last customers there was fish left. Ross the frier - was bestest fish and chips in along time. TYVM

We used the Atlantic Fryer twice whilst staying neaby. Excellent fish and chips, not a big selection but what they cook is very good.

Thoroughly enjoyed 2x Regular Cod & 1 small chips for 2 of us after a great day hiking from nearby Gerrans (free car park) to Porth then north along the coastal path to Curgurell & back. The mobile chippie is on a lay-by adjacent to the New Road car-park, which has a wonderful view, but does charge for parking in... More
