Staying locally and upon finding dogs are welcome the Plume of Feathers was a destination of choice. The place was busy with friendly local staff who clearly identified what was or was not ok for our nuts allergy concern. Water bowls where provided outside for dogs whilst the inside bar provided good value refreshment for the rest of us. Due... More

What a super spot - unspoilt and feeling at home to diners and drinkers alike - our 3 kids could wander down to the beach while we drank Rattler and "Proper Job" (which was on top form due to being pulled c/w sparkler to deliver a superb pint). Staff were super-friendly and happily charged all our devices as we had... More

From our first day when we met Henry opening up for breakfast(8-10am) to our many visits since, we have enjoyed all that this pub has to offer. Great ales, superb food (try the pan seared tuna special) and happy friendly staff. Excellent friendly atmosphere and always packed. Book a table....you will not be disappointed. Thanks to Henry and all the... More

Visited this pub several times during our stay. The selection of beers and ciders is great. All the staff seem very happy in their work which creates a lovely warm atmosphere The smoked Haddock with Kedgeree mash was amazing. Dog friendly too.

Called in the both of us for evening meal having stopped at nearby caravan park over the previous week. Good choice on the menu and not the usual line up of what is convenient for the kitchen to prepare. Had the smoked haddock kedgeree and the sea bass risotto which were not from a 'packet' as a lot of pre-prepared... More

This is a real village pub, with character. We sat outside on a lovely day, and ordered food from friendly, helpful staff. The food is good, and freshly cooked, although the drinks are pricey. If you're on holiday it may seem acceptable, but we are now living in the area, so drinking here would be an expensive treat. That said,... More

The pub looks lovely from the outside and is lovely on the inside. The staff let it down though. Service was poor, we watched white wine go back as it was warm, drinks get overlooked that should have been taken to tables and when we got our table to eat we weren't acknowledged. We decided to leave. I don't like... More

Cosy inside, lovely staff, really lovely Sunday lunch - good portions, piping hot, roast potatoes were fluffy and soft (rarely the case for pub Sunday lunches). Dogs allowed, they were kind to my 2 year old daughter. Left full and happy.

Ate here tonight & must say found a real gem. I had the mussels followed by the pork steaks which was so tender & some of the best pork I have ever eaten. Also need to mention the lovely Australian (?) barman/waiter who brought me the biggest cheeseboard I have ever seen! Real charmer who made us laugh & the... More

Description
The Plume of Feathers is a 17th century traditional Cornish coastal pub, offering hand pull beers and great food. On May 1st 2016 we opened our 5 en-suite B&B rooms above the Plume, the rooms are beautifully appointed and the convenience of being in the center of Portscatho is a great base to discover the Roseland. Colin & Paul Marriott, yes twins, you're not seeing double, took over the Plume from Graham Thomas in October 2013 after Grahams mighty 35 year reign and are indebted to him for his grace and support. His legacy of a friendly welcoming pub continues to be paramount.
