Millie's Old World has both coal fired pizza and wood fired pizza. Both options are incredible. The wood fired variety is a bit softer while the coal fired really chars the crust nicely. There are so many good options here you can't go wrong. Service...is great, we didn't have a problem.More
We went early (5:30) on a rainy night and only one other couple was in the place. Even so, we were there for 5 minutes before the waitress finally tossed down the menus on the table (couldn't even bother to give each of us one)....I had a bottle of wine (it's BYO) and it's a good thing I had my own corkscrew because the waitress certainly didn't when she brought two small dollar-store wine glasses for our hearty red wine. We ordered antipasta and meatball marinara parm platters. It came about 10 minutes later and I had to ask if we got bread (which we would have liked 10 minutes earlier with our wine). "Oh, yeah," she replies and goes to get some. We finished without another visit from the waitress. Just in time too as a party of 9 yelling & screaming kids and 6 adults descended on the place, thereby ending any consideration of coffee or dessert. Food was fine. Judgement: better for takeout than eating there.More
Autumn came briskly the day before my wife and I stopped at Millie's. Temperatures were in the low 50's, she wore a sleeveless blouse, I in a sport coat and long sleeve black tee as we greeted the hostess. Inside was full and would be...a 30 minute wait. We didn't have that time as we were to see a show in less than an hour. So we opted to take the outside seating and join the other dozen or so people outside on the lounge type seating around tables. Millies had one outdoor heater going that produced enough heat to warm you.... if you stood right next to it. My wife, who is usually running warm all the time, was now cold. being the gentleman I am, I gave her my sport coat. I remained chilly for the remainder of the meal as we were about 8 feet from that outdoor heater. The waitress came, we placed our order and within, 15 minutes our beautiful puffy crust pizza came out. Absolutely delicious. We opted for the "small" pie which gave us 3 small slices each which we were able to polish off no problem. I was honestly impressed with the pizza, very tasty and very satisfying.
Being the hot ticket in town, Millie's has carved out a niche that few on that street can compete with. Although there were other sidewalk cafe type places on that street with heaters outside, none of them had patrons outside eating. Being in close proximity to the Morristown Performing Arts Center has them in prime location for would-be show goers and I have to imagine the seating issue is constant during must-see shows. I didn't take notice of what was on either side of Millie's but perhaps it might be in Millie's best interest to pursue expanding into one of the adjoining spaces to accommodate the crowds and increase their seating, if only a little bit more than they had. I didn't mind sitting outside, I liked it actually, just a little bit warmer and I would have been more comfortable.
The staff seemed like nice accommodating people and our waitress, though a little more portly than the space allowed, was nice and attentive.
Definitely worth a stop if you're in Morristown.More
We had the Millies Special Mediterranean Salad to start. Large and very fresh. Lots of kalamata olives and feta. We ordered Meatballs with fresh ricotta cheese. YUMMY! Then we had a clam pie and a coal-fired meat lovers pie. My mom said it was the...best clam pie she's ever had! The meat lovers pie had so much meat on it you could feed an army! All of the food was fresh and delicious. The Maitre D saw the fresh ricotta had melted with the heat of the balls, so he gave us an extra one on the house! The beer was spot on cold and they served our favorite, Guinness!
I've been here several times and have never been disappointed. I highly recommend this Italian restaurant. It's casual with a full bar and specialty cocktails. You can sit inside or out. I will be going back again and again...More

Perfect for date night and fine dining. My husband and I enjoyed it but the kids did not. Paid $50 for a pepperoni pizza. 1/2 with green pepper and onion. Made fresh with real cheese and organic ingredients. I would definitely go back without the...kids.More

Sorry Annieg622, we do not offer Gluten Free options for our Pizza. To offer truly Gluten Free Pizza (Besides different dough) you would need a different oven that is exclusivly Gluten Free.. If you are truly gluten sensitive (not just for diet reasons) this would be the only way to eat gluten free pizza because there would be to much cross contamination from the regular pizza's cooked in the same oven. Also you would need a seperate prep station that is Gluten free as well…
